Hello! Just wanted to post and say hi to everyone. My name's WebDragon (aka webdragon8 from the JP Toys board and zeldathedragon on Ebay). I've been a dinosaur nut from about the age of 5, and have been collecting since that age as well! Unfortuantely I'm fresh out of grad school, so most of that collection is tucked away in various boxes Dino Riders toys were my first love, and through the years have collected a nearly complete set. Their golden eyes are so lifelike, which always set them apart. My favorite mass-produced figures are by far the Battat Boston Museum of Science line, and I'm always on the hunt to polish off my set of those. The Kaiyodo figures and other gashapon out of Japan are amazing too, and I wish they'd release more here in the US!! We also need to see some more pre-Mesozoic reptiles and pre-Pleistocene mammals in toy lines, in my opinion.
Aside from toys, I also drool over model kits and sculptures. Windstone Editions produced four hatching dinosaurs and two baby dinosaur sculptures several years back, which are charming and make great desk companions ;D
Aside from the paleo stuff, I'm a bit of a rockhound. I keep and breed garter snakes, love to draw, take pictures, write, and dabble in lots of different arts and crafts. As someone with a Masters in paleontology I have to say that deep in the heart of every prim and proper geology student and professor is a little kid that will squeal over the latest feathered dinosaur or unusual prehistoric mammal toy. I'm looking forward to chatting with everyone about the neat stuff that brings us all together!
