Well of course you are going to have to tell us more about this set--like what else do they make?!

Hmm....looks like a small sculpting outfit in China. Perhaps we could "commission" a prehistoric amphibian from them?

Im seeing only monkeys being offered other than this dinosaur but they probably have other animals that are going to be offered.

Im seeing only monkeys being offered other than this dinosaur but they probably have other animals that are going to be offered. I saw those now. It is odd, that of all the animals they could have started with, they went with a couple monkeys and a somewhat obscure stegosaur. The real question--is it any good?

I saw this on the 'bay yesterday-- I didn't bother with it though. EDIT: Now I did bother, and it is mine...

That's odd, I used to play Zoo Tycoon years ago. ;D
The actual animals on the game are far less accurate than the toys based on them. I'm not seeing any other species besides Lexoviasaurus. What others do they sell?

I still have the new and old version with all the expansions. I actually broke them out today to give them another go. I have always prefered the first version of Zoo Tycoon. The animals seem less cartoony. Did you ever unlock Deinosuchus for the first Zoo Tycoon? It is just an upscaled Crocodile, but still fun. ;D "Zoo Tycoon Admin.com" is an excellent site if you want to unlock a number of user made animals for your zoo. They have Spinosaurus and King Kong for the new Zoo Tycoon just to give you an example.

I tried the new version with a trial download but I didn't like it. I have the combo pack with Zootycoon, Marine Mania and Dino Digs. It has a few bugs for combined exhibits but otherwise it's great.
Yeah, I did unlock Deinosuchus. Did you ever get the Triceratops? I think you also have to rename an exhibit to get him, but I'm not sure.
It's still an addictive game! I haven't beaten all the scenarios yet...

Ahhh! So here it is. Thanks Tomhet for the redirection. Sorry for the duplicate thread. Thought I had checked everywhere before posting it.
So, is this guy solid or hollow? I think he's kinda cool looking!

Give it another chance. It's better graphics can sometimes be a good break from the older version. I did have the Triceratops. I also enjoyed the little orange Allosauruses. Still, my favorite animal to keep was Tyrannosaurus. Although its "screaming" roar became old after a short bit. ;D It's easily breakable? It almost looks extremely flexible in the pictures.

That's not a Lexovisaurus. It's a Gigantspinosaurus.

Got mine in the mail today. It's intermediate in size between the Kaiyodo Huayangosaurus and the Procon Lexovisaurus: It's actually very nicely done, with lots of detail work. I like it. It resembles the Huayangosaurus pretty closely, moreso than the Lexo, although it is lacking spines along the tail. All in all, a very nice piece, esp for 3 bucks + shipping from China.

The KAiyodo Huayangosaurus' shoulder spines are too big. I think it's also a Gigantspinosaurus: Gigant Vs... WTF is it with the huge shoulder spines on these guys?

I think you are right--the CFG figure at least is not a species made before; judging by the huge shoulder spine and missing spines on the tail--it likely is a Gigantspinosaurus. As for why they are there--there are two usual reasons, defense or intraspecific combat. I would be willing to bet they had more purpose for males in combat than anything else; they don't look practical as defense or offense, but would make great shoving tools. I don't know enough to know how many skeletons of these exist, but there might be the possibility of some having smaller ones than others. I do wonder if it doesn't share a range with a different species that may not be so elaborately spined; perhaps instead of two species, they are two genders.
