I have some ideas about who could be involved in the book project. Maybe Franchesca or even John Lanzendorf and Randy Knol are among them. Is this still kept secret? However, if one of the authors reads this: Don´t forget my unique Invicta - style Tsintaosaurus from the Basel museum of natural history. Contact me for pics. Could be listed under Ephemera or so?

Please also pass along that the German "Kinderüberraschung" - set from 1978 must not be forgotten. They go for about 100$ at the moment. They´re not mine, unfourtunately. I once had some of them but decided to sell them. I regret it now. How about the other members here? Let´s take this chance of contributing to the book - visit the HP, see what they´ve already listed and what´s yet to add to the list.

And they must not forget GDR - dinosaurs. Besides Kleinwelka, there´s another GDR - line: VEB Phalo / Marolin. Here´s their Monoclonius. On ebay Germany it is at over 20 € at the moment.

I emailed Mike Fredericks for a progress report on his updated dinosaur collectibles book. I asked him if the new book mentioned by Joe Demarco in PT #85, p. 46, is titled “Dinosauriana” www.dinosauriana.com/. He kindly gave permission to post his reply: “Yep, that's it. I'm a co-author too of course. It is going to be sold as a CD as no book publisher would work out. It is in Dean Walker's hands now as he is placing it on disc (but it could still be many months before he finishes.) Thanks, Mike” This is good news that “Dinosauriana” is eventually coming to a jewel case near you. I wonder what it would cost to print hard copy.

They should release it on sd card! Even smaller for mailing purposes, and much better for the environment. Maybe encode it for three downloads from the card.

A CD . Well, you can´t smell it, you can´t touch it, you can´t take it everywhere. Yet I do understand that no publisher is interested. They all just want to make money - no idealism anywhere around anymore. I´m disappointed, but will try to order a CD as soon as it´s published.

Just to clarify - traditional book publishers did want to publish it. Just on their terms.
Example: Said publisher wants to do it but only b/w pictures with color insert. Another would do it but only select companies (most popular). Another would do it but we'd have to split seven ways amongst the authors, to pay to publish (!) Just as more offers were on the table, Dean went forward on the layout with pricey, professional book software for the best results that are print-ready IF you (the consumer) choose to make a tangible version. It's hard work and is why this is taking time. It's not because we are still writing it. Trust me, even if you are sick of discs or disappointed, you will want to own a copy for reference.
There are plenty of foreign companies' lines represented don't worry. Thanks for the support guys.

Have you considered publishing it yourself? Perhaps take a look at Lulu Press's website If you are still interested in a hard copy paper book I mean!
