Why hasn't a Japanese company made a series of amphibians that includes Salamanders, Newts, Caecillians, etc? The only good ones were a few Animaltales, and the three original Colorata River Life ones (now discontinued).
I mean, Yujin has a series of corals, mushrooms, and sea slugs--are amphibians so out of line?

Yes, I've seen all these three Yujin sets - although I must say I nearly bought the nudibranch set once. I was also puzzled when I first saw the mushrooms something like two months ago. But often enough these gashapon makers produce highly accurate models of cakes, sushi, cellphones or other things I'll probably never understand. Oh, and there has to be a new series of amphibians for sure! Given their popularity I'd guess amphibian they would sell quite well. Thinking of the Colorata DX Sharks, a DX Amphibians set would be wonderful. Of course a DX set, how else would all these giant salamanders, mudpuppies, olms, banded newts, Goliath frogs & Brazilian horned frogs fit in? All gaps inside the lunchbox could be filled with different caecilians, of course. ;D

You know what I managed to contact the owner of the store last November through the sister site and the guy said he still has figures but won't sell them for some reason. Guy had a$$hole attitude lol.

Those nature techni color frogs are beautiful, possibly one of the best miniature frogs out there. I also have the set (minus the secret). Btw, those are from Kitan Club/Epoch, not Kaiyodo

Me too! It's been a while since I've seen one offered, though. Helge, considering your Axolotl's prey, do you have a birch tree next to your house?

I want that axolotl too! But I like the wild-type paint version more :3
...if anyone has one to spare, I'll gladly take it off your hands! I'll even pay real money for it! ;D

Do you have a living one? They're cute . Helge, considering your Axolotl's prey, do you have a birch tree next to your house? Yes, there is one right in front of the window where I took the pictures. What does it mean? Is it DANGEROUS?

Hahaha, no, don't worry. ;D I just suspected it might be a "Birkenwanze" (literally: Birch Bug), they can occur in masses when birch trees are near, but they are harmless: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birkenwanze
