I'm wondering how they'll deal with the issue of paradoxes caused by time travel. Maybe it'll be like Terminator...and they won't ;D I read that in the pilot episode the main characters will explain that it's like a parallel universe seriable.com/terra-nova-from-fox-early-pilot-script-review/""For you science nerds out there already wondering how they get around the time travel paradox in Terra Nova, there’s a bit of throwaway dialogue said by one of the main characters. By traveling to the past humans are in fact creating an alternate Earth, one that branches off of our own timeline. That means in non-geek speak that there’s going to be no distant sound of thunder happening in Terra Nova; you can kill as many dinosaurs as you want and not mess up the future because in this world, it’s a parallel Earth.""

Of course they opt for the easy route out and go for the parallel universe path. Sucks. That's whay killed Star Trek two years ago...

And it looks they'll kill dinosaurs, obviously the main target of heroes' big guns will be poor theropods which ALWAYS run roaring like madmen, sorry, like madarchosaurs ( ;D) after the humans...Sadness ensues

I'm actually interested now. I'm not worried about the pilot being nothing special, because a lot of the time the first episodes of series aren't spectacular. What matters is whether it improves or not.

I also re-watched the WWD special about Big Al, and the differences are marked - when Al is depicted stalking Dryosaurus (I think...a small ornithopod anyway) he is completely silent and moves very carefully. Proof I think that WWD, while not perfect, did some things far better than most.

Zero original. ^^ The idea was used before: pictures.todocoleccion.net/tc/2009/06/04/13633383.jpgIt's a 1993 comic, don't know the original USA title. It's about a bunch of soldiers in the future who build a time machine to scape from the hellish future they live in. Like Cameron's "Aliens" mixed with "JP". I'm not excited about this, to be honest. Doesn't want to see a shoot-em-all videogame, honestly. Doesn't look like Spielberg's cup of tea, either... Guns and dinosaur-killing soldiers? From Spielberg? I would have bet this was the storyline for JP4, but thought Spielberg never liked that idea...

What is used in a trailer to draw attention to it isn't necessarily going to be what it's about...like judging a book by it's cover.
I've recently heard Horner is working with Spielburg on this as well..so expect to see his influence.
Dinosaurs aren't going to be experianced hunting humans and their tech right off the bat..that Carnotaurus could have ambushed the vehicle..but it was faster than he thought..heck a lot of time prey out runs the predator. We just didn't see anything but a chase and like I said..that was pretty rough CG as well.

I get the feeling it's going to be LOST meets JP with a dash of Avatar. I'm really hoping that dinosaurs aren't the main bad guys, as they always seem to be. And why Cretaceous South America? You'd think they would have chosen a location with more familiar dinos to offer (that's assuming they don't throw whatever species they want in). With any luck, there will be other settlements at different times, places, and new dinosaurs. Why not! lol sadly Carcharodontosaurids and spinosauroids are extinct by now. I wouldn't mind North America during the golden age of the cretaceous when centrosaurinae and crested hadrosaurs roamed as far as the eye could see.
