Have you ever read Herding with the Hadrosaurs ? It's a short story involving time travel that has appeared in a couple dinosaur fiction anthologies...if it's anything like that story..I will love it.
Basically though it has potential to be really bad and really good...I'm thinking it got the greenlight after Primeval did so well.

What could go wrong? Judging from what I've been reading they're doing with it so far everything is going wrong. It's Lost in Space meets A Sound of Thunder and ripping off Avatar's style but infinitely cheaper.
The times we could safely say anything Spielberg touches can't go wrong are sadly 12 years behind us.

It's a sci-fi show on Fox. I give it three episodes before it gets pulled.

Just saw the commercial for this during the Super Bowl. It looks quite promising.

It could be very good or it could be just crap... At just the mere mention of "Avatar" (a movie i didn't like AT ALL), i almost threw my breakfast; let's hope it won't be a sort of "Dino Crisis" rip-off where the only interaction between humans and dinosaurs is the former shootin' the hell out of the latter Mmh... I have a bad feeling about it

d**n...that last scene with the Carrnotaurus looked pretty good...I'm impressed a bit.
I think the feel is a bit of Jurassic Park mixed with Primeval..it has possibilities. I'll reserve full opinion til I see the first episodes in May. They should be airing the premiere the 23 and 24th though it will be later before the full series starts.

I'm wondering how they'll deal with the issue of paradoxes caused by time travel. Maybe it'll be like Terminator...and they won't ;D

I'm afraid I begin to dislike the humans in it already, just from the trailer. Such is Hollywood's penchant for fast-talking, smart-Aleccy, weapon-wielding 'badasses' with attitude... But I could be mistaken. I hope.

In that quick blip, the Carnotaurus did look pretty convincing by TV CGI standards.

Yes, I suspect the creatures may turn out to be the best thing about it (though I daresay we've all apprehended as much).

I get the feeling it's going to be LOST meets JP with a dash of Avatar. I'm really hoping that dinosaurs aren't the main bad guys, as they always seem to be. And why Cretaceous South America? You'd think they would have chosen a location with more familiar dinos to offer (that's assuming they don't throw whatever species they want in). With any luck, there will be other settlements at different times, places, and new dinosaurs.

I blew up the trailer and watched it at slow speed...the cg is still really rough...but it has several months before the first episodes have to be ready. I can't tell hardly anything about the human characters so far...there is no real info to be obtained from the trailer. If they do suck...I won't be disappointed at all when they are eaten then either.. I would bet they shy away from the scientific side of time travel..safe to say they invented a machine that does it with no complications obviously.
