I actually don't have a favorite, but wanted to start a poll with more options than normal brand polls.

Well I collect all the Safari brands the most because they are the easiest to aquire for me...and Wild Safari onlly beats Carnegie because they have more releases each year whereas Carnegie only gets two.
Papo just needs to get more dinos out there...I buy one a year..which seems like a small number..but then you consider that's all they release... :?

I buy the figures I like and that's it. SafariCarnegie and Papo are my favourite "living" lines, but I am a Battat, Invicta and WwDs completist.

That's what I'm doing now with Bully and Schleich ...just going through and picking up certain pieces I like...in no way do I need all of them..lol Don't quote me..but I don't believe I have a complete set of anything...heh...can you say Papo and Carnegie are complete since they are still making replicas ?

Its a difficult one - I have figures from most lines, but I wouldn't say I collect the lines per say. like Tomehet, I buy figures I like. In the poll I ticked all the companies for which I have at least one figure.

yes, i felt it was only right to make someone choose only 4 options and have their brain torn apart in the process

I guess it's good to toss the old thinking machine a curve ball every once in awhile..keeps it sharp..

Very hard only selecting 4 of those...LOL - I have almost all the kenner/hasbro JP dinos, Most of the safari figures, and a few complete sets of others. Papo figures are very nice as well, and I have the whole set +....I selected those and also the Dinotales, but my dinotales set is not complete, and may never be.
I probably would have picked all of the above had I had the choice, though I don't have any of the WWD figures in my collection. In those that I collect complete lines, it varies as to what I am personally attracted to. Some like the Resarus figures are pretty "realistic" while others are as "silly" as the Playskools "Definitely Dinosaurs" line, and both are among my favorite dino figures.

I wish I had a complete kenner set OKAY, Our Popularity Chart so far: Wild Safari and Carnegie are the top collectibles with 4 votes (Duh, nice detail with a cheap price tag is the way to go) Our second most popular brands go to Bullyland, Papo, and Schleich (Nice figurines, but these are a little more pricey, but in my opinion, they give you a little more bang for your buck) Coming in third place are the random dinosaurs (I love random dinosaurs, my collecion is 50% random!), WWD Dinosaurs(Extremely nice, but definitely hard to find), and Kenner (I pity the fool who dosen't like JP. Who cares if the dinosaurs have errors, are you forgetting they were human engineered? ) And in fourth.....Dinotales (Those overly priced, 2 inch, wonderfully detailed dinosaur minitaures. Out of production, but you can still find em!) No one voted on Resaurus??? I like those figures

I used to be a Papo completist, but the allosaurus changed all that Now the only 'complete' line I have is the Toyway Walking with Dinosaurs line, 'complete' in quotes because I don't have that blasted ornithocheirus, most of which are probably languishing in storage units and dumpsters because the recipients of the Planet 3 magazines thought they were giveaways and probably worthless

Resaurus was good but what they had planned and never released was even better..so I kind of hold that against them... :/ The Papo Allo isn't that bad man..unless you just collect JP dinosaurs.

I feel reluctant to say this, given that I have achieved a certain notoriety on several fora for Papo worship, but I don't particularly like the Papo allosaurus. It looks like a terrier wearing a crocodile costume and going trick or treating for Halloween by pretending to be a dinosaur. *Runs from the rest of the Dinotoyforum community* I still voted for Papo though, for old times's sake ;D

Everyone's entitled to their own opinions..so no bashing from me. I had read others opinions before was even released and they were confident it was in no way accurate , Papo did no research whatsover, ect... but I bought it anyway..Allos are my first favorite Dino... after having it awhile I see where a lot of the opinions arise...the arm and leg positions make it look odd, but the other Papo's are in stationary poses. The spines and scutes seem to be out of fashion for predatory dinos...but there was a lot of art in the early 90's by famous Paleo artists depicting them this way..and I loved em'...and as others pointed out the ankles are thick..that was for stability though I'm certain. All in all it has it's problems but still worthy of the Papo title...if you haven't yet try to view it in person and study it a bit...it's dislike seems to be causing you some difficulty so maybe give it every chance.. :/ I hope I didn't come off as preachy or anything..if so I didn't mean to be..

Allosaurus is my second favorite, second to Tyrannosaurus Rex, and even though papo may be off in their anatomy they still have some beautifully ferocious looking theropods that have a charm about them that I find enjoyable.

Oh come on now, safari's new allosaurus is pretty nice, its just small, fragile, and not as bulky as the papo...an aspect I don't like. As far as size and detail, papo takes the lead, but for coloring, safari has always showed a variety. (Not saying the papo's coloration is drab!)

I didn't mean they weren't getting better in leaps and bounds .... to prove it I have 5 of the new Allosaurs...but a little more paint like the eyes and a design on em' looks 100% better like I did with mine. It's not that fragile either...I heated all mine up with a hairdryer and re-posed the heads, tails, arms, and feet... then posed them up with the new Diplo...they look exceptional..I'll take some pics as soon as I can. If they had just replaced the current Allo with the WS one in a large scale..I would have died..lol Safari does show a variety in their colors..but they need more shades and a black wash wouldn't hurt either is my point...and their isn't much excuse for just making the eyes a gloss black.

Cool, i'd like to see some of your configurations to the Allo And yes, I agree with you, but WS has a trademark for wild colors on dinosaurs. Don't you think they should stick with that and leave the dark colors for schleich?
