I don't have a particular brand that I collect. I just collect what ever I find that I like and can afford. I just completed my Invicta collection when an old collector friend returned a favor and sent me the Troodon he found in a garage sale! My WWD is only missing that small dino that came with the utahraptor (anyone have one to sell/trade?), My Battat is missing just the Acro. All the other line is pick and choose the figures I like. I have to say that I am starting to like Procon even if some of the figures are ugly ( Shunosaurus!). At least they are producing something new. I can't wait to get my deluxe versions.

One would be nice... but really the karma deal hasn't bothered me much..lol...I figure people will look at the content of my posts and not some number you know.. ? ;D

Ouch that's as much as the Acro in kit form when I came out I believe...
I would prob pay 20.00 for the Utahraptor...it's the WWDs figure left I wanted and don't have.
Tyrannax, I'll send you a pm to explain.

I have the Battat Tyranno with the blob on it's foot...still didn't help it stand..so I flipped one of the old Carnegie Trikes on it's side in a " dead " position and propped the blob foot between the two legs on the rib cage..much better now..and stable. My only other Battat is the Amargasaurus.....it goes well with the Carnegie one..but the Carnegie one beats it I'm afraid.. :/ I love the WWD Allo..my first one from that series...if only it had a better pose...

I agree, their poses are very standard aren't they? They would do good for a computer animatronic scale. Eh?

Now the only 'complete' line I have is the Toyway Walking with Dinosaurs line, 'complete' in quotes because I don't have that blasted ornithocheirus It's so rare that I'm not desperate to get it anymore. I mean, not even Randy Knoll has one ;D

The only sighting of that ornithocheirus seems to be the photo of bucketfoot_al 's ornithocheirus Goodness knows the bidding frenzy that will ensue if one is listed on evilBay

What's in my collection?
I've got pretty much all the Boston Museum figures, all the Kinto Favorites, all the Invicta unpainted dinosaurs (no mammals), and a handful of WIld Safari and Carnegie figures.
I'm looking to add more Carnegie and Wild Safari figures, and perhaps one or two of the Papo figures.

I agree, their poses are very standard aren't they? They would do good for a computer animatronic scale. Eh? You have hit on the reason for the quality and the pose there..they were either based on the computor models or they fed the model directly into the machine to produce a figure by laser cutting or a similar process...those models went to china for reproduction..but hte base model was good design so they turned out well... I like the Kinto pieces well enough but again the price is a bit steep for what size model you get you know ?

Does anyone every get bored of their collections? I mean, its pretty rare for someone you know to enjoy dinosaurs like you do, so your dinos don't get acknowledged much. I sometimes wonder my I even do this :/ Weird to think.
Another problem, that stupid foot pad on the wwd rex!!

There are times my collection is a little ignored..like when my interests change..but I always come back to them. Really all collectors go through something similar...you just have to ask yourself wether or not it excites you anymore...some collectors " thin the herd " so to speak ...I've done it myself. I clean then, make dioramas, re-paint them, ect.. so my collection is active most of the time.. I guess I just enjoy collecting them and I have fond memories attached to the older pieces... it boils down to I just love Dinosaurs...lol If I was a millionaire I would prob collect lifesize pieces and have a forest somewhere for em' ..lol..my own Jurassic Park... ;D

Yea i'm always interested in dinosaurs, but sometimes my hobby interests change over time. Example: I start becoming more interested in my reptile hobby...then my fish...then dinosaur toys...then reptiles...then fish..and so on. If my brother keeps this up in hollywood california then that dream might come true lol. Best part is....his money account is in both our names, so he rakes in the cash and we both get it. I'm gonna buy a life sized Tyrannosaurus. Who knows if i'm still talking with yea maybe I can get you a life sized something or other. Am I pushing the envelope a little bit? rofl

Am I pushing the envelope a little bit? rofl I noticed the same thing awhile back..interests move in cycles.. just everything else..so I think it's natural ..just watchout or new hobbies...if you keep adding them then the cycles get further apart and you might lose interest..not to mention it can exceed your budget..so you might have to prune at some point...lol..now I have added and dropped hobbies as I've went along..that's ok too. Hey if you get that much money, I'll hold you to it...even if it's just a Compy... lol
