I know quite a few forum members have children and when these are looking at their mum's or dad's Dinosaur collection every day, surely some of them are drawing enjoyable little masterpieces . It would be fun to see them in this thread, so mums & dads .... post 'em! This is a "Happy New Year" - card created by Kim & Gina, lovely little daughters of my closest friend .....

Oh, how lovely. Perhaps members could post their own dinosaur drawings from when they were very young too? I love seeing childhood sketches.

I don't have pictures as of yet, but I did draw a lot when I was a kid. I even found an old dinosaur alphabet book I made many years ago. Most of the drawings are subpar, but one of them is hilarious. Luis Rey was a very big influence for my art at that time. For the 'I' page of the book, I used Isanosaurus. And I just so happened to base it off of the Luis Rey painting where they are having a special hug. I found it hilarious, cause I have no recollection of drawing that at all!

I have a couple from when I was a kid This first one I drew when I was six-ish: lol... This one I did when I was 10 (in 95 I was in 5th grade). I believe I referenced a painting in a magazine, but tbh I'm not really sure anymore. ;D

5th grade = how old? 11 or 12, isn't it?

Fantastic. Keep them coming. ;D Unfortunately I don't think I have any of mine that are dinosaur-related. I do have some of other creatures somewhere, but heaven knows where exactly...

For me, I was 10. For most 5th graders, they're 11 or so. I was young for my grade.

Sorry its taken me an age to add to this post, but my little 'uns are beginning to show some talent. First here is the youngest one's (3 years old) picture of her pet T-Rex, Kiki, usually on guard at night bashing the beasties under her bed: She did have a little help with this but managed to colour it in. My eldest daughter has gone in for painting models and is better than her dad! She painted the stegosaurus when she was 2 (with some help admittedly, but did choose the colours). The other two models are all her own work, done when she was 6. The colour scheme for the Corythosaurus is not unexpected for a young girl, but check how blood thirsty the Megalosaurus is! Hope you enjoy!

Here's one from when I was 9 and in the 4th grade. I was trying to make a trex like the one in jurassic park, haha. I was detail oriented even then and tried to give it things like the folds in the pink jaw muscles, the spikes on it's eye ridges, the wrinkles in the gums between it's teeth etc. And here's one from when I was 10. I had recently gotten the field guide to dinosaurs and I loved all the luis rey feathery monsters in there so I decided to draw a rahonavis from there (I don't remember if I direcly copied a picture or if this one was just inspired by one of his).

Cool. ;D Dyscrasia, you have been hiding your light under a bushel -- this will never do! Those drawings are wonderful (a carnage though one of them is ;D). If you still draw, you must oblige us by sharing your more current creations!

Wow, I didn't expect this but thank you Totoro, Himmapaan and Griffin for such kind comments and compliments! Well, I've actually stopped doing artwork almost 10 years ago (due to a series of screw ups and complications of our nation's education system, and the lack of artistic skills.....long story tbh) and since I'm no professional artist, there aren't any 'artwork' that is worth presenting, but I managed to select a few... Oh, and I apologize for staying out of topic... A drawing of random creatures I did when I was 15 (14 years ago) A maggot (inspired by the original maggot drawing from Mike Majewski of Devourment, and the chestburster from Alien) I drew for Devourment (Brutal Death Metal band from Texas) in 2005 Actually, more of a concept sketch which I did in 2007 for a local Extreme Metal Label.... All three drawings were done by using a cheap ball-point pen~
