Thought id add a thread about anything of unknown phenomenon or little understood including theorys and experiences. Anyway i have prediction we will experience a food water shortage or price increase on food and water Oh i wanted to add this dream i had awhile ago where i went to jurassic park and i was disapointed because all the dinosaurs were fake and i wanted my money back ;D www.cftc.gov/ucm/groups/public/@lrfederalregister/documents/frcomment/08-004c002.pdf On this one I think your prediction is right. We know the price of food is going up. Next we'll be paying for safe water to drink!

I used to have a pretty consistent ongoing dream that would recur over and over again a few months prior to 9/11 that for the most part came true. (Real life background info -- I used to be a waiter in the 1990's at the Windows On The World Restaurant which was on the 107th floor of Tower 1 of the World Trade Center.) So, in this recurring dream, I was back at the restaurant working as a waiter. The dream always ended with something not feeling right (a sound, a vibration, I can't remember for sure now) and then me looking out one of the windows with my hands pressed up against the glass as the building began to tip over. The last thing I would remember before I awoke was the lower buildings and eventually the street coming up closer and closer. After 9/11 happened, I never had that dream again. BTW, I would also have dreams of big passenger jets crashing. But, I still have those.

the greatest civilizations fall each and everytime. They certainly do, but nothing lasts forever, and the technology and knowledge from these civilisations has always, ultimately, been retained. For example, (pretentious ) people still frequently quote Ancient Greek philosophers. Homo sapiens is a highly adaptive and hardy species, don'tchaknow. While it's true that we're doing quite a good job of messing up the planet for everything else, we're a remarkable species in evolutionary terms alone.... Also: it's highly likely that there was no 'Atlantis', or rather that it represented an earthquake on Crete (?) being hyped up by Plato.

Well, not entire civilisations, but there are historic sites. However they show no evidence of 'advanced technology' that has since been forgotten by future civilisations. If they did, you can bet some profit-hungry git would be down there digging them up

We are experiencing, at least here in america, corn-based food products going up in price due to large amounts of corn now not being grown for livestock or for other food items but going towards making ethanol to mix with gasoline for people to put in their cars. It's pretty lame too, as the ethanol causes your car to be less MPG-efficient and thus you have to buy more gas and use the same amount you were before...

What, more disturbing than the stuff you write in the Paleoanthropology thread? I kid, I kid. You're entitled to your beliefs.
On the "dreams" side of things, I once dreamed I rode a shopping trolley down Mount Everest, but I flipped off about halfway down and hit the windscreen of a jumbo jet, and that's what caused the 9/11 stuff.
