Welcome, Shane, nice to see you here . Your Dinostoreus Allosaurus is one of my favorites, I have it on my diorama page somewhere. Will you be doing any other 1:35 or smaller models?

Here are some more images . I should probably start putting pics under a more appropriate thread so i will have to look and see where to best post them and i will let you know so you know where to look but enjoy these. Some of my kits are painted by me, Steve Riojas or Martin Garrett. Attachments:

Welcome, Shane, nice to see you here . Your Dinostoreus Allosaurus is one of my favorites, I have it on my diorama page somewhere. Will you be doing any other 1:35 or smaller models? Yes i have started a new line of 1/35th dinos and plan on doing dozens. My stuff ranges from life size ,1/10th, 1/15th, 1/18th and 1/35th. Keep in mind that most (almost all) 1/35th models out there are really 1/30th in actual scale i have seen or owned hundreds of them and i can tell you that all of them who are supposed 1/35 are really in 1/30 th when i measured out them to scale so i decided to do all my 1/35 in 1/30 to match all the others out there. This way when the modeler displays them they are all right size to each other, otherwise my stuff would look smaller than they should be next to your other kits. The first in my line up was Giganotosaurus and its been a huge hit ,its been out now for about 2 months, and my next will be Triceratops and then Amargasaurus, then Albertosaurus.... thanks for asking . email me for pics of the Giganoto. Do you see yourself making any cheaper items ( <$50)? No! i make and sell fine dinosaur art not toys. People must remember that it takes months to sculpt this stuff then we have to pay for the mold work then pay our casters for each resin casting so i would have to sculpt a dino smaller than a soda can to charge that price and because there are so many good toys in that size why bother. <$100? I love the look of the resin models, but for their prices I could get like 20-30 different dinosaur figures!

Oh i understand i wasnt knocking those who want stuff for that price , its just not part of my business, but yes alot of my 1/35th scale stuff will run in that price range so keep an eye out on these forums. thanks.

Well, it's quality over quantity for me, and I'm thrilled that there's someone like you slowly producing these amazing kits Shane. I just wish I could spend a couple hundred bucks and instantly have the painting talent to do these justice.
The Gigantosaurus is close to $100, right? Will the others in that 1/30 - 1/35 scale series be similarly priced? If so, that is a good way to grab a few of your pieces, even if on a budget.
Looking forward to seeing more of your models. I agree, you should probably start a thread of your own, called Shane's Cretaceous Creations, or something and display photos there. They'll get lost in this thread over time I bet. I'm especially interested to see the ones you don't have on your website, and also the ones you have already finished for sale.
Anyway, it's inspiring to see such amazing models. Makes me want to hone my skills before some of your kits are gone!
BTW, just curious, how many kits do you generally sell of each model? Are there dozens of each out there, hundreds? Thousands? I really have no idea of the market.

I really have no idea of the market. Yeah i will have kits in the 75 to 120 range in 1/35th scale and of course i will still be doing my larger stuff as well. Something for everyone is my goal. I generaly get about 100 castings per mold give or take so its kind of get them while you can kind of thing. It normally takes on average about 3 to 4 years to wear out a mold! Still when you think about a hundred or so castings spread out around the world or even just in the US that would be only 2 castings per state! when you look at it that way then you see just how rare these really are. Like i say get them while you can. talk with ya soon Curt.
