Well I don't know how they are doing with new species but there seem to be a lot of old ones named after incomplete finds. Also National Geographic and others are rushing out TV documentaires without peer review. It seems to me its more important to get the money first and check the facts latter.

It seems Jurassic fight club made this same mistake... Those horrible dienonychus..... What was wrong with the deinonychus? I found mistakes with all of them except for the raptors, did I miss something?

Those horrible dienonychus..... What was wrong with the deinonychus? I found mistakes with all of them except for the raptors, did I miss something? The skulls, the wrong positioning of the hands, the lack of feathers, the bendy, short tails, the "slashing" claw (the claw could only stab), etc.

Hey, are you mocking Mr. Rex? He always looks cool! Totally agree!!! No matter how "old-school" it can appear,Tyrannosaurus Rex (aka "The King of Kings") will ALWAYS look badass ...Well,except the "feathered restorations";showing the King with a coat of fuzz or feathers is a crime against nature,an abomination which must be destroyed before it can corrupt the eternal laws of existence itself ;D ;D

I grew up with an ever changing veiw on Mr Rex. I've settled on the current look, but I just cannot stomach the whole feather thing on Rex.
It's fine with the Velociraptor and Deinonychus if done right.
But T. Rex? Come on! This is the King of Kings! Not an oversized rooster!

Would it be as cool if they'd named it Manospondylus gigas and never put "king" in the name? And T. rex never had feathers, there's no evidence for that whatsoever. I'm not sure what you think "done right" would mean, but the truth is reality is reality and doesn't really care if you think it looks right or not

But, I don't care if he had feathers or not, he still looks uber awesome. I think feathers (I don't prefer them, but...) make him look raptor-like, extremely quick and dangerous!
