Yeah people are going nuts over some guys death...yay someone died let's have a party !
I get who he is, how it's a U.S. military " victory " but he's just one guy and his death won't really stop anything. It will however get our dear prez Obama a lot of credit he can use to influence voters.

To put it bluntly: Obama desparately needed a success like this. DonĀ“t want to become too explicit here...

His death in itself doesn't mean too much, but it sure has united the people of this country and will provide further motivation in the fight against terrorism. It was a great scene outside the White House last night. Hundreds of people of all races chanting out USA is a beautiful thing indeed.

About time. There will always be another Muslim fundamentalist extremist to step in for him though. But at least it underscores Obama's 'Yes, we can' way of positive thinking. Bush after all failed on this one (as he failed at most other things and at being a decent human being basically).
Isn't this thread too political for these boards though?

Isn't this thread too political for these boards though? Actually, your post is the first overtly political one on the thread. Please behave. Having grown up in NYC and knowing people who had friends who perished on 9/11, I am very glad and proud of our Armed Forces and Intelligence services who 'bird-dogged' the various leads for 5 years until finally 'getting their man.' We've finally brought justice to OBL. Good riddance. (Wonder if Matt and Trey will make a reference on 'South Park'?)

It will however get our dear prez Obama a lot of credit he can use to influence voters. Credit belongs where its due. This is a victory for all freedom loving people. Both this Administration and the previous one deserve credit. This entire operation took about 5 years to prepare. What is the saying about the Texas Rangers? "They always get their man."

I'm going to lock this thread. There are enough other websites where opinions can be left regarding this.
