The world is expecting to hear something soon from Camping or he risks being branded as a false prophet. Especially Camping’s followers will be demanding an explanation as they had put all their faith in Camping’s prediction, quitting jobs, selling their possessions and donating all their money to support the Doomsday campaign. Others are probably going to simply shrug and dismiss him as a mad man, which probably many of them have already started doing. Is Camping going to turn up and say he made a mathematical error again, just like when his earlier prediction on the End Time failed in 1994? (Camping made a prediction in 1994 that the world will end in September 1994, but he said he made a “mathematical mistake” and delayed the Doomsday to May 21, 2011) sanfrancisco.ibtimes.com/articles/149707/20110521/failed-doomsday-prophet-harold-camping-hiding-silent.htm

Oddly, I don't think we have anything to worry about. ;D I still can't believe it made the national news over here. Actually, I can, 'cos it was a great laugh. On Channel 4 news they had the presenter being 'raptured' at the end, leaving an empty suit behind. Just for giggles. Remember, just for fun, go around leaving unwanted clothes laying on the ground (full outfits work best--unless it is true that in heaven the no shirt-no shoes-no service policy also applies (pants would of course not be welcome). I think it is great that the media is running with it--and not one of them is taking it seriously (even Fox!). This will make it much harder to 'explain away' the error, or make it disappear from memory.
