Anyone ever think of making popular Paleo scientist figures ? I mean I wouldn't mind having some 5-6" scale figures of Marsh and Cope or more contemporary like Bakker or Currie.. complete with mini fossils or something.
Just thought it would be a neat idea...and the possibilities of posing Cope and Marsh with pick axes at each other's throats would be great..lol

I think Cope and Marsh would be more likely to use pistols or muskets!
And a Leidy figure in the background, ignored and embarrassed.
I think Phil would be amused at the prospect of becoming an action figure--I'll mention it to him!

Interesting idea... what JP never made a Bob Bakker figure? Was he not in the first movies? The one that the T-rex chomped? Hmm, maybe a Paul Serano figure to herd all my sauropod dinos!

The Bakker-like guy was in the 2nd film and a figure of him was never made to my knowledge.
They make all those religious figures, presidents, painters, thinkers...I want my heroes ! Were is my Sir Richard Owen figure.. or even Waterhouse Hawkins... ?

At least one exists, sort of. The micro-machine dinosaur sets came with a palaeontologist - it looked exactly like our MSc supervisor who works on eurypterids. I'm presuming this was a coincidence, but who knows...! Not really an action figure per se.

Heh that would be sweet... they could come with giant dart-shooting guns and have capture gear vehicles so they can fight the Evil Raiders Tom Holtz with exploding green dino vest! Paul Sereno with media press release-shooting action! Alan Feduccia with straight jacket escape grip! Darren Naish, Mike Taylor and Mark Witton exclusive with the Blogosphere control centre play set...

How about a John Ostrom bust? DonĀ“t want to be impious, I mean it seriously. After all he is the guy that started the new dino - bird debate still going on, waking the dinos from their sleep together with his pupil Robert T. Bakker.

Speaking of Gobi legends... what about Roy Chapman Andrews ? There is a vehicle playset...his old car along with a rig for hoisting up a crate of fossils..
