You can see it with the Amazon 'look inside' feature... just click on the book cover.
You got credit on the inside cover for an image on page 9. Try searching for '9'. You can click to go straight to that page. They also used a silhouette of your image to show the scale of the animal. Based on the examples I've seen, I'm inclined to think they made it a bit on the large size.
Cheesy kids book, but painting looks good. I believe someone may have done some photoshopery with the background.

thanks! - I see - they removed the background that took so long for me to painstakingly paint! I can only see one half of the page though.

well naturally enough they did try to limit it so you can't go through the whole book, but I was able to go back a page to see the rest of the spread. For some reason they got the idea that the animal's armour was super heavy, and they didn't seem to have much else to say about it. ;D

Is there anyway you can post the picture? I was doing a bunch of screencaps tonight, so I was finally able to get around to this and get back to you.

oooh thanks! Not bad. I see what you mean about the background. They have also played around with the contrast, it looks neon!

Nice artwork, but I dunno about this book. The fact that they're erroneously stating that scelidosaurus was a quadruped solely because its armor was "too heavy" for it to stand on two legs is just plain DUMB. The animal's limb structure is simply not suited to a bipedal lifestyle, though it could probably rear up on its hind limbs for short periods anyway. I'm sorry, but the quality of dino books for kids has just been dumbed down soooo much from when I was a kid. Just disappointing to see, really. It's like the people writing this stuff haven't got a clue about dinosaurs. But no intended offense to you Dr. A. It sounds like they tampered with your painting anyway.

Yes when I read this I was thinking, Do they think these animals were bipedal like dromeosaurs or something??

I was wondering if you had the original drawing before the book people messed with it. Unless you've posted it elsewhere, it would be nice to compare it to the finished product.

They printed his image and credited him. Doesn't seem like such a bad deal to me.

In the summer Prehistoric Times, William Stout talks about how hard it is to make any kind of living on paleo-art. Sounds like if you get your stuff printed and credited you should be happy. Besides, once a publisher buys the art from you, they can use it however they see fit. It happens all the time. Just part of the illustration business.
