Hey, Guys, do you know some braziliansaurs?
We have a lot of the "old ones" here... Did you hear about the staurikosaurus? It's my favorite... a small theropod of the late Triassic... it's so old as Herrerasaurus, about 228 MYA...
We have a lot of dinos here, but I' don't know how are going the disclosures about they in the world...
What braziliansaurs do you know??
And if you want to know, dinosaur in Portuguese is "DINOSSAURO", and we don't write BraZil. We write BraSil!!!
Sorry for the bad English!

Hey Fred, welcome! I know of the Santana Formation, since Irritator is my second favorite dinosaur. I don't know much about the late Triassic South American dinosaurs, but I've heard of them. Also, your English is fine. theri

I have a book on Brazilian Dinosaurs. It was printed about 10 years ago, so it's probably not bang up to date. They have Angaturama (which may be the same as Irritator). There's a photo that shows a fairly good portion of a Titanosaur skeleton from São Paulo. Some theropod teeth (next to a picture that looks similar to Giganotosaurus), theropod eggs(?). And there's some fossil footprints. Also I remember something new announced to press more recently (...looks it up) Maxakalisaurus It'll take a while before that name really sinks in with me.

Well, we have the ANGATURAMA, but it really seems to be the same that IRRITATOR found not in same time. I guess that's the same problem about BRONTOSAURUS / APATOSAURUS...
But I don't like ANGATURAMA very much. We have the African giant, the awesome Spinosaurus... the brazilian angaturama is just a spino's fake (I really tried to write this using other words, but my English is terrible. I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say)! I prefer STAURIKOSAURUS... we don't have other dinosaur like it in the world! It's the MASTER of its kind! (The small theropods of the late triassic).
But here in Brazil we have the "Heaven of Pterosaurs", in Santana Formation... we find new bones every week! Unfortunately, it is located in a poor area of my contry... and far from my house!
But I can see a TITANOSAURUS in my city! We have a CARNOTAURUS too! And of course, the big ones: Gondwanatitan and the Uberabatitan!
Some of our pterosaurs are: Cearadactilus, Anhanguera; Thalassodromeus, and many more...

Hey Fred In our country we have the Amazonsaurus remember? And the Sacisaurus and another herbivore.... Unaisaurus right? An Abelisaudidae was found in Brasil too. AH Don't forget the Santanaraptor, the small theropod of Santana do Cariri!!! I think the EGGs are of sauropods, Titanosaurs probably.
