does anyone know when the ouranosaurus was switched from the iguanodontid family to the Hadrosauroidea? Ran across an article about the change last night and was the first i ever heard of it.

It's a matter of taxonomic semantics--iguanodontidae is within the hadrosauroidea. But it is apparently paraphyletic (as many of the taxonomic groupings are!) so a lot of work is being done on that right now. Best as I could find, there are references from about 2004 that suggested 'iguanodontidae' may have issues. Wikipedia has a short discussion about it en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iguanodontia

My 2006 copyrighted edition of the Illustrated Encyclopedia of Dinosaurs still had it listed as an Iguanodont. However, I just finished a repaint of the Battat Ouranosaurus, and the head details are very much those of a hadrosaur. Especially the flattened "bill".

A lot of books still publish it under the iguanodont family. On wikipedia i was looking it up for pics and near the botton of the article has it was switched to the hadrosauroidea clade. My newest book published from 2006 the complete book of dinosaurs has it pictured with the other iguanodonts but looked at the classification and it was placed as hadrosauroidea also. it came as news to me since it was always classified as an iguanodont in the past.
