Hey! Thought I'd mention this if anyone is interested.
All week on the History Channel, they are having different "Apocalypse" related themes; Armageddon Week! They are all new and each one is 2 hrs. in length and comes on, at least on the east coast, from 9-11pm and repeats at 1-3am.
On Wednesday, they are having, "The First Apocalypse". It is going to follow a theory about a volcanic eruption in India that is a possible blame for wiping out the Dinosaurs!
Looks interesting! From the commercials, the CGI looks pretty good. Crazy Bob Bakker is one of the highlighted speakers.
Check it out!

So, did anyone watch this? I thought it was pretty good. They actually covered the dinosaurs more than I thought they would. Some CGI's were from other previous programs (Jurassic Fight Club and such). But, most looked new, at least to me, and I thought they were well done! Although it was the Cretaceous Era they were covering (hence the end of the dinos), they did show other dinos from different eras, like Allosaurus. Hmmm? They never said that some of these were there at the end of the Cretaceous. But, since they were to be covering the demise of the dinosaurs, you'd think they would just be sticking with those from that period!
But, all-in-all, I thought it was well done and covered many of the theories about their extinction in great detail!
PS ~ I felt so bad when one of the long-necks gets beaned on the back of it's neck by a large piece of the asteroid!

Does anybody else think that Americans think too much about disasters?

Tohet, LOLOLOL!
Yes, I think we do! I was just saying to someone before this Armageddon Week started, they always seem to fill the TV line-up after New Year's with "end of the earth" docs!
I only tuned in to watch the dino segment. Mostly because, I like to see what they are doing next with the CGI effects and how much more accurate and realistic they can get them.
