Howdy all! Long time lurker, but recently took a few photos of some of my collection, and got an account so I can post them. I can't photograph them all in detail, as I have over 2,000 dinosaur/prehistoric animal figures/toys, alone. Safari/Carnegie figures. more, plus a few Schleich...Some of my favorites are safaris large "missing links" mammals. Battats, Kintos, Boleys, Schleichs, Resaurus, and Papos. (and some safari birds, but those are dinosaurs too :> Invictas, and Marx, along with Framemasters, and some randomness. ROM, and reissues, and my White-posts. Bone age. Dinomania and related, along with Cog LTD's and Yowies Closer. Yowies, all the Lost Kingdoms and Forgotten friends, and some others. Closer. Lots of various stuff, some customs, and a few model kits, but mostly skeletons, including Cog LTD's big sauropods. Some models, including Horizons Brach and Rex. More assorted, a 40" T-rex skeleton kit that was customized a little, and Chap mei figures. Dinoriders, Definitely Dinosaurs, Disneys Dinosaur, "Dinosaurs", and Moose "Dino magic egg" figures. Another. Moving on to Jurrasic Park....And some UKRD's Jurassic Park/Kenner/Hasbro Another. Ive got figures hanging all over in here....Hiding up on top of the vents.... like these...(some assorted, a few "Thunderbeast" figures) And here...Some random, some Disneys Rex from Toy Story, Issacs Dinosaur Premiums, some resin figures. And more...these are mostly Land before time figures....there are dinosaurs everywhere in here... I have alot of LOTR figures too.... All the 3" "battle scale" figures. I think you have more than just 200 individual dinosaurs....wayyyy more. I have 700 approx, and your collection is seemingly bigger looking than mine. Keep up the good work. That's the most awesome basement I've seen so far.

wow your collection rivals that of dinoobscessed!
Quick question, what was teh name of that toy line that was of the dinosaur skeletons? The ones in the 4rth and 5th photos. I remember they came with miniature cavemen, and had projectile parts and what not!

Gigano & Dinotoyforum, thanks!
emperordinobot - I have over 2,000 dinosaurs and prehistoric animals in my collection, not 200. Some are quite small though, like the Dinotales and Diener eraser dinos, (including the Edaphasaurus & Eryops, Smilodon and such) and some are very common cheap figures, like Jasman dinosaurs, and Bin style "junk-o-saurs" Not all of them are on display, and I have many rubbermaids of "assorted labeled dino-stuff" hiding under my stairs.
tomhet - I have been collecting these figures for a long time, and from the time I was a child. I am 26 years old, and many of these figures have been with me, (specifically many of the dinoriders, bone age and jurassic park and more) from the time they hit shelves and headed my way as birthday/holiday gifts. I still do not consider my collection in any way "complete", there are alot of figures left that I don't yet have. (I have all of the AOME figures, and All of the Kinto figures, Narly all the "obtainable" JP dinos", ect, and I do collect the color variants of things like the safari/carnegie figures, and the mold variants.
I have three Maiasaura on nest, for example, each distinct. (first release, in softer dark grey rubber, painted over, second release, harder plastic, more detail, name stamp moved on bottom, and similar paint, and then third release, totally different tan color scheme, otherwise same as the second release)
Rubicon - I love the AOME figures, its unfortunate you had to sell yours !
nobs - Those are Kenners "Bone age" figures, a snap together "action toy" line that included cavemen. The dinosaurs could be assembled into different "vehicles" and many had projectiles. While I'd like to say my collection rivals dinoobscesseds, it looks as though she may well have more then I do. I know she has more Battat rexes, :-), I only have the first release.
I have to split my energys of collecting between my figures, fossils, skulls and other natural history items, and what is funneled back into the live animals I work with.

Your collection does rivel mine Ive only been hard core collecting for 3 yrs and i had a couple things when i was younger that spired me into collecting into my adult years. I like the model kits u have. You mentioned fossil collections? Id like to see them As i too have some fossils not shown in my collections.

Heres a photo of one of my display cabinets. I am sure we have well over 3,000 fossils/mineral specimens. (like my figures, I have not counted them all!) Fossil wise, we have everything from a real dromaeosaurid egg from Mongolia to spinosaur teeth, an allosaur tooth, hadrosaur vertabrae, limb bones, and ribs, triceratops bones and fragments, dinosaur tracks, fossil crocodilian tracks, tons of species of sharks teeth, fossil turtle shell, fossil turtle skull, various crocodilan fossils, various fish, shrimp, and other arthropods various caprolites -turtle, shark, theropd and hadrosaurid, various mollusks, trace fossils, mammoth bones, prehistoric horse, sloth, deer, bird and oreodont fossils, fossil feathers collected in germany, trilobites, mosasaur teeth, and lots, and lots more. Some of my favorites are displayed, but the bulk is stored, beneath or in the closet and cabinets in my living room because light exposure would not be good for it, and its best safe and packed away. I have quite a few casts too, like those of pteradactylus and Archeopteryx above, and some cast reconstructions, like the head of an Archeopteryx and of the Anhinguera. Some of the material I have, we have collected, from Florida for mammoth and glyptodont bones, to New Jersey of all places for dinosaur Tracks (well, a fair bit has been collected by me, as its a hobby of mine to go on vacations and look for fossils, as well as birdwatching and looking for reptiles) the rest was purchased from reputable dealers, and is well documented, and is not that fake garbage they try to pimp on ebay to poor unsuspecting collectors. I teach about dinosaurs/fossils/birds/herps, and other natural history related topics, so, while it is my personal collection, it is sort of more a job then just a hobby. Then theres the real Archosaurs I work with on a daily basis, like Osceola, our American Alligator... And Brahm the White naped Raven.

Wow what a collection. That's a very cool basement. It doesn't seem to matter how many shelves you have, there's never enough.
