Here we go again, more picture ;D So after tackling my sauropods, ceratopsians, marine reptile, and duckbills, I thought I should go ahead and do my pterosaurs, prehistoric amphibians, fish and other sea creatures. So, I started with the pterosaurs. I just recently added pterosaurs to my collection. I have not been "actively" hunting them in the past so my collection is modest It never fails to surprise me just how many more figures I have than I originally thought. I guess that happens when you don't have them displayed, you can't really watch the collection grow when they are all in a bin ;D As I have said, it's a small collection, so I don't have many of them. I purposely do not collect the may Chinasaurus figures, god knows there are many of them out there. I do have a few. Its nice to see that more and more obscure species are being produced, mostly by Japanese companies. Still, Pteranodon is the most common figure since it is perhaps the most famous pterosaur. So, let's look at the flyers, shall we? The small figures. Mostly Kaiyodos, Yujin, and TEDCO, with some random ones. The most diverse group. [im Now the medium size group. These are mostly pterosaurs from Safari, Invicta, Papo, and Tyco ( the orange one is a members exclusive giveaway). [im The second group of medium size figures [im A pair of Bullyland Pteranodon. The flying one and the perched figure. [im Family of Onithocheirus with Rhamphorhynchus in the background. The mother ornithocheirus is the WWD inspired TS Toy figure, the "baby" one are actually the Schliech Anhanguera figure. But what ever, they look cool together as a family, yes? [im Now we have the big figures. Dominated by CollectA pteranodon (black). The other figures are Tyco and WR. [im Some SEGA and Collorata figures I forgot to include with the other small figures. You may notice a figure that's "not" a pterosaur, in fact it's really not a really based on a real animal. It's from the Future Is Wild set of figures. [im A pair of odd pterosaurs. The broken one is a Cherilea figure. [im Finally we have the random Chinasaurus figures. [im that's it for now Coming soon is a pair of Starlux pterosaurs! I will post it as soon as I get them. I can't wait to add the two new 2009 figures to my collection! Thanks for looking and stay tuned for the next installment... Prehistoric amphibians, fish and the other weird and wonderful critters below the sea! ;D

He said it wasn't in the post tyrannax. READ! ;D Marvelous collection Boki-- Although you are missing quite a few jurassic parks, the big old schliech, and half of those chinasaurs aren't chinasaurs (they are well-produced, made by safari, JPm etc. )

They are big figures and I'm not really a fan of the whole line I supposed I should have included the "Flish" with the birds or in the upcoming fish thread ;D

You already have two of them Boki. The blue metal one in the last picture and the cream one with the yellow beak in the last picture are Jp's.

Boki;
A nice collection of pterosaurs & excellent photography!!
The green mystrey one came as part of a set (around 10 altogther) of dinosaur figures that have a small rfid chip in them that would give out facts when the critter was either on or near the base unit. I forget who makes it off the top of my head but you can google the company name and get a photo of the set.
I have been reticent about getting a Cherilea figure since they are so fragile (and everytime I see one it seems to be broken!!!).
Were you able to get all three Starlux figures? The Rhamp. & Pterodactylus are my two favorites - the Pteranodon seems to pale in comparison.
A great collection!!!!

The old Schleich Quetzalcoatlus is marvelous. And so is the Schleich Pteranodon, I don't think you have one either.

Thanks ;D I'm starting to really like the pterosaurs The two Starlux I have coming is the Rhamp and the one that is hanging upside-down (pterodactylus?) like a bat! ;D It's coming from France so it may take a while. Yah, the Cherilea figures are very brittle... and expensive,too! The only reason I got it is that it has a broken tail so it was cheap ($10). I forgot to add my little rhampo.(?) pterosaurs from the show Primeval! I somehow misplace them and was not able to find them in time for the photo op Same goes for my SEGA green pterosaur.

I forgot about the Schleich ptera! ;D I don't even remember if I have it I did, however got the newer Schleich Quetzal, the big one, today. I forgot they made a bigger one so I was surprised to see it in the store today! ;D Was it last years or the year before? From what I remember, it looks similar to the 2009 release, only the new one has different color design.

Those should be Anurognathus from the Primeval show--unless there are other ones. Now you need to get your hands on the Swamp Scenes one from Aurora (there is one on Ebay right now. But I want the little horse).

Most spinosaurs are simply poorly done, so most of the time I get other dinosaurs. No chinasaur-spinasaurs for me! ;D
