Beautiful fishies, indeed. I almost bought the set recently (I still might do so). Yes, very much worth it, I think. And this is not even complete They have so many fish sets, not to mention the anthropods and crustaceans, insects, animals, reptiles, and birds, too! sbell: No, I don't have the Cutlass ell unfortunately. I forgot to check before the auction ended and lost it It looks super cool, maybe one day I can find it without having to spend big $$$ on them I got this for $.99 each! ;D

;DAnd here it is, yet another wonderful set from Epoch! I have been wanting this set for a long time, but the cost of the set or individual figures have kept me just wanting… until now! Great set to have for all you fish and amphibian fans! These are modern animals. There are eight figures, two chase figures (why is there always a chase figure in most Japanese line?) and seven regular in the set- the frilled sharks and giant salamander are the chase figures. As is always the case with chase figures, these two are also the most (ridiculously)expensive and rare. I was fortunate to acquire the whole set for less than what the two chase figure would have commanded individually. They are all very well made figures with lots of details. They are bigger than your standard Kaiyodo figures. Now, I'm not sure if, like the other set, if these figures came in different color versions (another Japanese favorite!). The giant salamander is truly a gem. Are there any other figure of it out there, or is this the only one available? After watching the PBS show about giant salamanders, I was determined to acquire this figure. The 6 regular figures: Latimeria Mikadetrochus beyrichii Nautilus Arapaima gigas- a wonderful, prehistoric looking fish Australian lungfish- another primitive fish Triops - this was one of the figures that I really wanted and I'm happy I got him cheap! ;D He would go nicely in any trilobite collection ;D The 2 chase figures: Andrias japonicus (Japanese Giant Salamander) - truly a beauty. This one is the rarest and most expensive in the set. VEry nicely done figure. Frilled Shark- another entry in the growing frilled shark figures ;D Here he is with two other frilled shark- nice, scary looking group, eh? The entire set Sorry, I don't even know what the set is called- everything is in Japanese ;D ;D ;D If you ever have the opportunity to acquire these figures at a reasonable price, I highly recommend them

Did you get it on ebay? Man, I've got the Arapaima, snail and triops, and I've been hunting for those others for a while now--where did you find them at those prices? Especially the salamander--even in Japan auctions, that animal (from any company) seems to command a lot of $$

I guess my seller is just under the radar that no one noticed the auction ;D Also, he is in CA, so much cheaper! I will let you know when I see some.

WOW! That was a great swim! I didn't even know ROM made Burgess Shale animals... I'll have to search for them. Oh! By the way, you and I don't share the exact same taste, as I LOVE the Bullyland Jellyfish. Yes, it's a Moon Jellyfish, An Aurelia aurita, so what? You cannot find any better Aurelia aurita on the market!
