^Really I have no patience in general- lol- I don't need patience when sculpting, as I absolutley love to do it. It is one of the few things that I do well, that comes naturally to me. It calms me to work clay.

Oh I see. I don't think I can sculpt good, even though I've never really tried it. How on earth could I sculpt good enough to make myself happy??

^I find that for me sculpting is fun no matter if its good or not. I had fun sculpting when i was just a little kid making crappy godzillas out of playdoh. I think its sort of theraputic to knead the clay in my fingers. Besides T-Rex, you don't fool me, I know you are a sculptor at heart. I remember the T-Rex head you were carving out of foam- how did that turn out?It looked like you had a good start- you understand to draw the two views of the head onto the foam and carve to them.

I am going to go sculpt now- wife is at work and the dogs are asleep- nice and quiet. I will pick up on the dilo where i left off- posts to follow later to show progress. I will basically finish it in the next session. I am hoping that you guys find it interesting to see the steps of progression. I probably won't be so thorough in documenting each toy critter I make for these sets. i would probably just post some here and there as i go.

::waits impatiently:: I'm especially curious to see what skin texturing you decide to give it... (I don't recommend feathers )

^ every part of it should be feathered. Even the tongue and internal organs.

You know what, CT is right. Here's a preview: That chicken has feathered toes, so think about this: Trex evolved into chickens, so trex's toes must have had feathers. tryannosaurs are direct desendents of dilophosaurs such as dilophosaurus and guanlong. That could mean that dilophosaurus was feathere.d Chew on that.....

I don't know how to make a box with a previous post to respond to- so I just copied and pasted this from Kuni's post above-

I was planning on just following the Rush dilo for this toy, it had no feathers. I am not too up on all this feather, no feather debate. I have not seen any images of dilos with feathers although i have seen other theropods with fethers in reconstructions.
