I did this 16"x 20" painting a while ago for one of my collectors from my ebay days- it was a commisioned piece- done in a simple style to keep it affordable for him- shows a Pterygotus patrolling over a Silurian reef- I also did a Devonian reef for him with a Dunkleostus and other placoderms swimming in and over the reef-didn't get a photo ofthat one though- So what does something like this cost? I charged him 100.00 for this 16 x 20 inch Silurian one and 150.00 for the Devonian one with the placoderms, which was a matching size and they were really a pair to go together--it all depends on the size and contents of a painting what I charge for it- for this same guy I also did a slightly larger painting of a Coal Forest scene withthe dragonfly in the foreground that I charged him 200.00 for due to the contenet and the larger size- I paint real fast, so the time isn't that much- I did this one in one sitting- start to finish. I also did some of these as drawings in colored pencils for another collector- that were much cheaper like half the cost-

Is International money order the only way for us overseas buyers to pay you for orders? I just want to know so i can go to the post office and find out what extra costs the post office will charge me for an overseas money order.

I haven't been here in quite a while- been very swamped playing catchup on orders and other projects- I am shooting for a Thurs. shipping date for all of my outstanding orders- I do appreciate everyone's extreme patience- It has been just over a year (Dec. 7th was the first posting on the original Toy Line Questions thread) since I first came to this forum and starting asking about making this line of figures with your help- I had hoped to do two a month- I issued a total of 8 figures, as well as finishing the Leedsichthys, and the Xiphactinus which have yet to be issued- plus all of the other pieces in progress- I think I did pretty good so far- I am sorry that i haven't exactly been the speediest in filling orders- Here is a photo of a painting I did of a Carboniferous scene that was mentioned above- found a photo of it after all-

And Thanks you so much for giving us all the opportunity to own such wonderful, one-of-a kind, no two are alike figures! I know that it cost you a lot of time and money to produce each one, I'm just honored that I have them for my collection! Really looking forward to those big fishes! Can't wait! ;D

Malcolm - I just wanted to let you know (again) how much your labor of love is appreciated and that I for one will wait for however long it takes you to finish one of your pieces. I wasn't around for the post criticising your speed or else I would have responded. You are probably the most valuable member of this entire forum, and someone needed to tell you that. Your contributions will last on our shelves decades after these discussions, and yes, even some hastily typed words, are long forgotten. So .. let's keep that Stiff Upper Lip! (As the Brits say). Zatoichi (formerly known as .... well, you know... ;D )

Forum member Bat had contacted me about his Quetzal sculpt- he wanted to know if I would make a mold for him, and offered up the piece to add to this line of figures. His main objective being a desire to be able to share his sculpt with others. I thought that since it is a real nice piece, and since he did a great job of researching his piece, and since it was sculpted by a member of the forum it fit into the parameters set up originally for this project-a collaboration between myself and the members ofthe forum. So he is goingto send me his clay pattern, and I will mold it and it will be issued as a Fauna Casts piece- look for it in the future-

This is a great idea - I loved the Quetz in the nontraditional pose and now we can all get one Maybe some of us will be inspired to create more original sculpts as well

Can't wait to see how this quetz turns out. Dinonikes, will you be painting it or will he? And will it be freestanding?

Malcom will be painting. basically I gave him the sculpt to add to his line in exchange for some unpainted casts for me and my kid to enjoy. I am glad that he is making it possible for others on the forum to enjoy this quetz as well As for freestanding the current sculpt is pinned to a piece of wood. I am not sure the pose will balance freestanding. I would prefer free standing, but that may not be possible and all dississions from here on out are Malcolm's to make unless he asks for my input,
