Are these all the prehistoric shark toys out there?
Kaiyodo: Xenacanthus Cladoselache (two versions)
Yowies: Megalodon Helicoprion
I dig prehistoric sharks Megalodon Helicoprion Orthacanthid
Is that it? Has any shark been made by mainstream companies like safari?

In a word? No.
I of course suggested one or two to Safari, but who knows how that will go. Maybe I'll get in touch with Anthony Beeson instead. CollectA can churn out an entire prehistoric marine line in the time that another company would make two figures. ;D

^^^ That may be so, but not many are very well done, so I'd take the 8 Safari figures over the 26 Procons anytime. Since prehistoric fishes are my favorite creatures, I'd rather see them done by someone competent, like Safari or dinonikes. Safari should start a prehistoric marine line

I wondered how long before the CollectA bash began . Let's be honest--not even Safari or Papo are all hits (have you seen that Safari Suchomimus?). There is a better chance of getting a varied line from CollectA than anyone else, and based on the risks they take with their dino species, we're more likely to get some risks from them with their fish too. Will they all be great? Probably not--but they do have a marine line, and most of them appear at least competent. That said, they should all do lines, and let us choose the best. I would rather see the animals made, period.

I'd much rather see, for example, a helicoprion by safari than CollectA. The new safaris just... Rock basically. ;D While most of the new collectas look rather lumpy and odd.

ooo I've been meaning to post this but i keep forgetting. There is a cartoony-looking new series of Dino-Magic-type toys called "Fizz-n-Find Sea creatures." I have a photo on my cell phone that I'll try to post here this weekend. The back of the box has a chart showing 12 figures. The first series of six look mostly like modern-day deep sea monstrosities, but the "coming soon" set of six look pretty prehistoric. I don't know my marine dinos at all, but there definitely seems to be a kronosaurus in the group. There are two sharks, but again, i'm no good at identifying them.

Couldn't any large Great White Shark replica be used for Megalodon ?
I saw a big pvc Shark that would have made a perfect replica for Megalodon at Sea World years ago...thing was almost 3 feet long and detailed...never seen one since.

But megalodon probably looked different... The proportions were probably different; Megalodon probably wasn't just a scaled up White shark.

Of course not, but restorations today do show him as a Great White on a larger scale. Unless we want to take a shot in the dark and add 3 fins?

I don't think they are getting cancelled soon--I hope not, because my gift shop is bringing them in.
Sometimes, it's good to be king. Of a very small fiefdom. With no treasury. Or subjects...but I can get in stuff I think should be there (CollectA figures, Safari figures, Tedcos!).
