Quick question: I know the Dino Riders Placerias is small but does anyone know the exact measurements? If he's small enough I am going to try to put two of them in my triassic diorama to illustrate the swan song of the Dicynodonts & Bonus Question! Does anyone know the measurements of the Dino Riders "Killer Wart Hog?" Richie

Drat, I have the warthog (AKA Megachoerus AKA Deinodon), but it's in a box in my storage unit at the moment. Curses to moving! I'll try and get it out this weekend to get measurements for you. I remember it being roughly twice the size as the Placerias in height, about 1.5 times in length, and about the same width if not a little larger, if that helps!

Here are photos of both, complete with scale bars: Placerias: Enteldon (Megachoerus): Also, Webdragon, I think you meant Daeodon (formerly Dinohyus).

thanks sbell! i've been undecided on if i want to put the "killer warthog" in the oligocene or the miocene. Richie It would be more correct in the Miocene. A smaller species, like Entelodon or Archaeotherium, would be more likely for the Oligocene.

That would be about 5 1/2 years ago. The year after I found it, I would come across one or two in various dollar stores. Since then, I haven't found a single one--at maximum, I had about 6, but they were so handy for trades or sales. As for Tomhet's offer--I can't be specific, but it was a currency exchange. Yes, I can be mercenary--but I think it was pretty fair (Tomhet seemed happy too!).

I think he's a little too primitive to call him a Cormohipparion or something, maybe Sbell can answer more adequately.

As for the other stuff--whoops, replied in the wrong thread! So I made it go away.
