The skull, and the photo are both Nile Crocodiles (Crocodylus niloticus).

So which is harder, theropods or sauropods?

Well I would have to say the details in the heads of the carnivores are a bit harder to do than the details of sauropods- but the volume and scale of the supersaurus is in its own way a lot more work compared to the smaller theropods I have done so far- so far the hardest thing to sculpt have been the teeth in the rex and the tylosaur- especially the tylosaur with its second set of teeth in the roof of the mouth-

So the Dinosaurs Alive traveling exhibit of animatronic dinosaurs just opened up here at the local zoo- it says that there is a replica of 'the largest dinosaur ever found- the Ruyang Yellow River dinosaur which measures 60 feet in length' anyone ever heard of this dinosaur? I guess I will check it out on google, I am assuming it is a sauropod, wonder how they made it look- will have to go see the exhibit- am curious-

What I just read on the site says it's the largest " animatronic " dinosaur .....which might not be accurate either...not after the park in Dubai opens anyway... I wonder how big the animatronics in the film Baby : Secret of the Lost Legend were ? I would guess around that length or bigger. Here's the company that made them : www.dinosaursunearthed.com/dinosaurs.htmlIf you go Malcolm...I would love to see pics from it...I'm a bit of an animatronic Dino-nut as well.

My thoughts exactly... ;D
On that note.. the 1/1 pieces you mentioned earlier..would they hollow casted as well ? I just assumed yes without asking..heh

Very nice. How long exactly does it take to sculpt a Dinosaur?

cool a big sauropod, i was more excited about the alamosaurus but the super is pretty impressive. as far as hollowing it out how much weight would that actually take off? Still hoping for the alamo so i can have a sauropod that fits into a late cretaceous diorama with my rex and hadrosaurs.
