This was the only shot of it I got before my batteries went dead on my camera-will post more after getting new batteries- the paint job looks a lot less rough looking in person- remember this whole thing measures only eight inches in length- these photos are always a shock to me cause they are so large looking compared to the figure-- like seeing real close up pictures of someone- you see all the flaws-lol
Note- the base in this photo is not what would come with the figure- basically instead of the wire, there would be a clear plexi rod- probably a bit shorter than the wire in this photo- wood base as shown-

On my screen it's about 12" long.... I guess if they show flaws it helps in correcting them right ? So you decided no complex or sculpted base for these I guess eh ? Prob just as well... once you get going on that Shoni there's no way it will fit a base I bet.. lol I'll get a check out tommorow for this fellow...did you finally receive the last one ?

At last, it is alive. Welcome to the swimming pool. Don't worry about the pic Malcolm, it's good to see the real beast even if we can see the spots on his nose, lol. No spots here, just my screen needing to be washed Too much dinos are photoshoped like a haute couture's model... And sometimes so badly that it prejudices the goal of the faking : Selling more. So, no more hesitation, I need one !

Oooo, very nice, Malcolm! I think he looks great. Would like to see a close-up of the face, though. Is it possible to not glue the plastic rod to the base, so it's removable? Or maybe order one without a rod and base? I would like to use it in my undersea marine reptile diorama. I'm not sure the wood base would fit in right. If it's small enough, I guess I could camouflage it with some shells or pebbles. Hmmm?
BTW, Blade, what size is your monitor? LOL! I have a 17" widescreen laptop, and this guy is only 9" on mine! ;D

^The figure would be removable from the rod- so you could chuck the base if you wanted to- or if you wanted I could make the rod removable as well, so the base, rod and figure would all be separate pieces-

I'm especially delighted with how this one turned out Great colour scheme, lovely looking eye too. This is going to look great on my desk ;D but I'm waiting for a few other marine beasties in the line to be completed before I place my order

*agrees with top two comments*
I also imagine these pieces being worth hundreds in the future-- After all, only a few of each will be made, right? (well, by a few probably like twenty or so-- depending on how many people order them).

Hmmm... Instead of sculpting and casting a base, why not just drill holes into appropriately sized rocks? BAM, instand base.

Hmmm... Instead of sculpting and casting a base, why not just drill holes into appropriately sized rocks? BAM, instand base. There you go-anyone that wants to can do that. The shipping on a big rocky base would cause the cost to increase enormously.
