So who wins? ;D What we have here are the BIG guys in dinosaur figure land ;D
I normally would not get such huge figures for I don't have room for them, but I just have to get these sets! They are simply amazing and very well detailed.
The X-Plus figures I got a few years ago. The SEGA I just recently got, I fear they will be extinct soon, so I saved up enough mulah to buy both the T-Rex and Triceratops.
The Triceratops comes in two different versions, a yellow/orange one and a tan. The Tan figures front legs are articulated, but the orange one is not, interesting.
The T-rex is unusual that it is one of the few figures that has ridges on it's back.
The SEGA figures are sculpted by famed Japanese artist Shinzen and Hirokazu Tokugawa. I am not sure who sculpted the X-Plus figures, Araki perhaps? The two sets of figures go very well together. It is a shame that the lines were not continued, although the SEGA did have more figure, but, unfortunately, are next to impossible to acquire outside of Japan
So here they are, the Battle of the Titans ;D
The pair from SEGA:
The T-rex:
And the Two versions of Triceratops:
One more time ;D
... the orange version...
... and the tan...
The X-Plus duo:
The Albertosaurus:
The Styracosaurus pair ( yes, he looks very anorexic ;D)
The Battle!
T-Rex vs Albertosaurus:impressive together!
Styracosaurus vs Triceratops: Oh, the beauty! ;D
Hope you enjoyed the show! Who won? You decide! ;D I highly recommend both sets of figures, they are worth the $$$ ;D
Till next time!
Boki ;D
