Excellent Cordylus! You truly know how to make a sculpture.
I'm bewildered to find out you cooked all of that at the same time with no side effects such as cracking due to thickness.

I guess it isn't, but you must have used 3 rolls of foil to get the clay to be only 1/4-2/4 inches thick.

All I used was a thin piece of cardboard It is about an inch thick in the middle. No foil

Really? Incredible. The thickness of the clay surpasses that of the recommend limit. I'm really shocked it didn't bust. And you kept it at 275 F for 15 minutes?

The head looks a big disproportionately large, but it looks otherwise good. Nice work! Don't let mommy see it.

I like it- it looks a bit like it was attacked by something with all of the claw marks on its side- did you like the cardboard wire armature system? Did you use a reference image to cut out your cardboard like I do?

No reference image, I just used a round oval shape of cardboard

I'm trying to use a reference image, but getting it to match the 13 inch requirement accurately is difficult. I don't see how you complete such tasks. ;D

^ Good idea, but I have no clue how to work with my printer/copier/scanner like that. It probably doesn't even have those capabilities even though it is a larger unit.

I use the copier at work- it has scale settings- up or down percentages- you could go to your local library- they probably have copiers- I wouldn't know how to use a scanner that way myself- I like copiers cause you can just set the percentage- measure the print and reset it up or down as needed til you are at the size wanted- I also use my opque projector too, quicker as you just throw the image into it and project onto the wall and move it nearer or arther from the wall until it measures the right size- than I trace away

I actually just used paint and adjusted the percentages that way. Much more difficult, but it gets it done.
I am shocked at how small 13 inches is, much less 12. The head is a mere 2 inches long. I don't think I can work with detail that small, but you did, so I'll give it a try, (BTW, your Rex looks much bigger than 13 inches! Must be the camera pics)
