Absolutely lovely paintwork you did on Helge's giraffe, Harriet! I thought about repainting mine but haven't dared to do so, yet.

I bought it with the Neovenator (for which I couldn't wait) from eBay seller 'samsonchik2008' to make the shipping costs more reasonable. Isn't he (or she) a member of the Schleichtiersammler Forum? Oh yes, Samson - he is a member of STS you're right. Thanks Helge and Copper, I think I'll wait until it's available in England. I hope we get a good uk online shop that sells the complete range of CollectA or at least a nice selection.

Wow, that's one lovely Okapi and Giraffe! That CollectA Okapi turned out much better, in fact it could be close tot he Papo one. I'm excited about those Sable antelopes! Wow, glad that CollectA listened to their fans and transformed the second version into a female instead. Not many company release both male and female version. The sculpting looks really good on those antelopes, too. Now, was there also a Eland or KudU in addition to these two?

And here is the latest addition to the herd, a Gemsbok/Oryx sculpted and hand painted by Harriet (hkhollinstone). It's an absolute beauty! I'm very proud to own one of her masterpiece after seeing some. Unfortunately, the pictures don't capture the real beauty of the figure. Head so you can see the horns ;D Here he, keeper offering him some carrots ;D And here he is joined by a couple of Kudus Thanks you again, Harriet! If you ever do a Bongo or Sable, let me know! Cheers! ;D

That looks real nice all painted up- is that the same piece you showed in photos earlier in the thread? Did you get it molded and is that a cast or did you let it go to Boki as a one of a kind? I like the tag that came with it too-

I like the tag that came with it too- Yes, I got a mould done and had castings made from it - glad you like the tag.

Oh, my goodness...
Harriet, if one of the major toy companies do not hire you someday in the future as one of their sculptors, there is even less justice on earth than I thought.

Wow, that is really nice, HK! I had the good fortune of actually seeing an Auerochse last time I was in Germany, at the Neanderthal park near Duesseldorf. I have relatives in Mettman, so I was able to walk there from where I was staying. The beasts were far away, and I couldn't get a picture, but still cool that this retro breeding program is happening! Anyway, a very nice model, you are very talented. ;D Is it one of a kind?

Wow, what an awesome sculpt! You're not by any chance making molds of the aurochs so that others may perhaps get one, too?

Thank you! This is one of a kind yes - I wanted to make a mould but ran out of time - I hope to make another in the future maybe a complete family, for moulds. Wow, that is really nice, HK! That must have been awesome! It was a hard figurine to make as you really only have skeletons to go by, I did use some drawings by different people which I thought were quite good. Judging by the skeleton I think it looked more like a Wisent. Their skeletal structure, especially along the back, is very similar. The Heck cattle played a big role for the painting.

I hope you were very well reimbursed for your efforts, Harriet, especially as it's a one-of-a-kind. I would find it extremely hard parting with such a thing if I had sculpted it.
(That said, I've parted with original drawings and paintings for very little before myself!)
