It came in today, and it is heavily damaged. The sculpt is fine, excepting the bent tail. However, the armature has come off the base, the clay is cracking near the foot, it's ankles are bending under the weight of the sculpture, and has become almost unpliably hard.
I have no idea how to make bakable sculpey pliable again, and am sad to say the damages may be irreversable...

Maybe because it is too cool and all it needs is some heat to be pliable....

Ohhh, too bad Tyrannax! Ugh!! I think it needs something more than just heat. Heat alone might just dry it out even more! If it's not too dried out, it definitely needs moisture. You might try putting it in a warm, small contained space with a humidifier. But, if it's too dried out to the point of cracking and crumbling, I don't think there's much you can do I'm afraid. If the clay has just toughened up just to the point where it isn't very pliable, then a warm humid environment should help. But, the person to ask would be Malcolm. I'd PM him! Good luck!!

Plus my mom can't find my sculpey clay box...so no repairing for now. I thought it might cause it to become less pliable under heat, but I'm still unsure. Dampness or heat, that is the question.

Well, when I was sculpting in college, at the end of the class, we always covered our pieces with a damp cloth. In general, heat is drying!

Sometimes things get cold and they get hard. Lots of times, before you make the sculpture, you have to "work" the clay- Roll it around in your hands, get it warmer, etc.

Same here. The platform is bothering me more than anything else. I should have sculpted her to stand on her two feet versus a platform. She looks more like a model than a toy. I'm not sure how I'd accomplish that without starting over.
