Wait, are they retiring the whole line? I think the idea was to retire most of the older figures in the line.

They're revising the whole line with improved versions of already existing species (Allosaurus, for example). The Apatosaurus has been officially retired, and can no longer be acquired directly from Safari. The others are going to meet a similar fate, and Safari won't be making a big announcement out of their retirees. They never make it obvious, sadly, so you've gotta keep aware.

Ah. For some reason I thought they were disco'ing the whole line.

Well, they are, sort of. The new generation of awesomeness (Nigersaurus, Postosuchus, etc.) will replace the old. I think it's because Safari wanted a high quality dinosaur line without the fussiness of "museum branding" you'd get from say, the Carnegie Collection. Though I don't expect the Carnegie name to be abandoned any time soon.

Provided they steer clear of the aggressively marketed Schleich dinosaurs, yes they do.
Also, got in some awesome fossil replicas. Tyrannosaur teeth and Therizinasaur claws. Might take photos, if anyone is interested.

All I really needed from the WS line was the Brachio..but it will prob be replaced by a better version next year anyway.... ;D
This move will def give them the room to put the more common/popular species back in there again...it will def be intresting to see what comes out next year now...I remember when the WS was first released..it was what 10 at once ? Wonder if they will boost the line like that again ?

Slightly, yes. Their warehouse is in California. Since you're practically my neighbor, it wouldn't save more than a few days, but I suppose that could mean a lot if you're really anxious to get it!
