Yes of course ,but Dan is just saying if you want one before Christmas or now otherwise, do it after.! Molds are being made now and will be ready by the end of this coming week (1st week of Dec.) check Dans site for prices. This is one of my best works and i cant wait to get mine so i can paint it up!. Also a update to the Phororhacos (terror Bird) I bought the rights to this sculpt from Darren and i made a base and a small early horse (propalaeotherium) to go with it ,sort of a diorama ,something this kit needed. The mold work is done and ready to take orders. All molds are new and fresh and ready to release this kit again with big improvements. see Dans site for prices. Do not send payments to Darren he no longer owns this kit ,It is now owned by Shane Foulkes of Cretaceous Creations Studios. Attachments:

I just thought I would let everyone know that I just placed an order off of the Dan's Dinosaurs website, buying one of Shane's models, and they have some of the best customer service that I have experienced! Very highly recommended

P.S. Is the pole there the way he will be mounted and when will casting start ?

I was really excited to see the finished product of the Dromaeosaurus. It looks astounding, but where are the feathers!?

I was really excited to see the finished product of the Dromaeosaurus. It looks astounding, but where are the feathers!? Agreed on the astounding part, and i guess feathers could always be added, since this is a kit. That's the great thing about kits, is you can add or subtract things you don't like about them. ;D I personally don't mind it being featherless, as I don't know how convincing sculpted feathers would look. Real feathers would look odd to me, and would only collect more dust.....I hate dust. Anyway, I really hope to acquire this kit, and have it built up into something that will look absolutely beautiful. Dan, can we get the price that will be charged, if we don't get our pre-orders in on time? The usual price, that is.

Yes, I agree that large feathers would be difficult to sculpt on a life size model such as this, given that it must be cast and shipped. One could think of it as a canvas, so feathers and other adornments can be added as the buildup artist sees fit.
The final casting will not include the central support rod seen in the photo; I believe most models like this use only internally installed rods to stabilize them in the base.

Dan, do have an details on how much bigger the base will be, than what is pictured? I'm just hoping it's thick enough to properly house a rod support that can keep this guy/girl stable.

Yeah, I want to jump on it right now, but I have to wait until I get my tax returns sent. That should give me enough to cover the cost of the kit. Then I have to save up and get it built up. lol
