Afraid not. Don't worry, though. You'll get plenty of chances to win goodies in upcoming games.

It has been brought to my attention that this particular game would be difficult, if not impossible to win. Therefore, I am replacing it with a new one. Anyone who still wishes to answer the previous canceled game may certainly do so, but there will be no prize for it.
New Game: Call 'em Out!
How to Play: Since their release, the Papo dinosaur figures have been notorious for flaunting high-quality sculpts and lavishly detailed textures. However, this luxury comes at a price - these figures are prone to abrasive damage, wearing off their paint and, in some cases, even parts of their own bodies!
Question: Which Papo dinosaur is most notorious for suffering breakage during shipment? One guess per person, please.
Prize: Winner receives 10% off their next purchase from Dan's Dinosaurs.

I looked everywhere and couldn't really find any of these guys that were really prone to breaking....most are to thick and sturdy..even the moving jaw ones got great reviews after hours of harsh play. This seems like something only a seller who seen a LOT of them would know..but using logic and testing my own...there are only three really that have anything very fragile...and you would have to really beat them to achieve it...and have sold a lot to figure it was the "most " fragile...I want to say Stego with all those plates but mine is more rubbery and flexes a bit..and the Allo has survived many falls from our shelves...so prob the high selling Velociraptor I guess.

I have never ever seen any Papo, delivered, or on the shelves with so much as a paint rub. Ever. And we all know the torture the ones on the shelves are put through...not even a rub. Ever.
Actually, when I was buying them off shelf, before I discovered on-line shopping and this forum, I would compare figures to get the best one--we all do it--, and I never found much in the way of variation on the Papo paint jobs. Nor did I ever see any sloppy or defective paint. I think the Papos are some ogf the most consistent on paint, and quality control. I can say i have repainted my spinosaurus 3 separtate times, each time washing off the previous paint. To get the paint all the way off, and out of the cracks, I needed a green pad and wire brush. Never scratched the factory paint. Ever. Same with the Para. Perhaps later figures suffer from cheaper paint, but I haven't seen it, or heard any complaints on this forum about it...

Same here..I just took a guess...I saw one Raptor with a dinged nose tip once..looked like it had been dropped the maybe stepped on....the raptor's top head seems to me the most prone to maybe pop loose...but I've never seen one like that.

I think the worst i can say is that some of the ones with movable jaws sometimes seem to have loose jaws, that won't stay shut well. Meh. Certainly never heard of body parts falling off..... ;D

Yeah I thought of that as well...but according to reviewers who actually bought them for their kids, with all rough play the jaws have held out....now I might be able to do a King Kong and break em'...but it's not something I want to test... I did check the plates and tail on the Stego and the horns on the Trike even the head on the Ptero...but they were rubbery and not stiff so they could absorb an impact. I keep coming back to the Raptor...it has the smallest and prob weakest jaw...and the head looks a bit fragile...that being said I have heat one up with a heat gun and twisted it about with no damage..but if it was made really cold...then dropped..it " might " break it.
I looked up reviews and at the dino collector website and even he didn't mention one more breakage prone than the other.
Maybe Dan can enlighten us tommorow..finally off to bed.." yawn "

C'mon T. In the thread about beipiaosaurus, he clearly says it is the tenth anniversary of it being found. Sounds like a hint to me...

I think he meant for the Papo one... that's the same conclusion I came to Tyrannax...it's the only one I can figure that stands a slight chance of getting damaged more easily.
Yeah Beipia is prob what Dan was shooting for...I tried Dilong and got a wrong article about it being named in 2000..I also looked up Microraptor and found a lot of articles about it being found in 2000 as well...so pretty difficult to narrow down.

sorry. My bad. I agree the Papo raptor is about the only one that seems even a little vulnerable, it is smaller, and the head seam seems more pronounced. I still say you'd have to work pretty hard at it.
As for the tenth anniversary question, Dan comments in the Beipiaosaurus thread about how it was found ten years ago, last night. I think it may be a teensey hint...

Yes, the Velociraptor stands a greater chance of becoming damaged than the others. Its size may be a small factor in that.
