The subject line more or less says it all. I'm looking for a Toyway Diplodocus; any ideas? I assume that you mean the BMNH figure--in which case you may need to hunt one down from a UK or European dealer. If instead you mean a WwD Toyway figure, those only exist in the imagination. But there was a TS Toys WwD-inspired figure, available at the DinoFarm.

I meant the BMNH one. I should have picked it up at the BMNH last year, but oh well... I did get an Invicta Apato for under 2 pounds, though.

I'm looking for one of these myself I agree with sbell, your best bet will be with toy retailers in England. Does the BMNH have an online extension of their gift shop?

What's BMNH, the British MNH?

What's BMNH, the British MNH? Yup. I went there for pretty much an entire day and felt I "saw everything" no offense to any Brits, but other than having sponsored the Invicta line, I could spend a week at a stretch in the AMNH, and have when I was living in NYC and had lost my job.

Being a New Yorker myself, I share your love for the AMNH. I've been to many other museums and there are some truly great ones out there, but the AMNH is just... overwhelming in scope to a degree! There are so many nook and cranny exhibits that most of the crowds don't frequent, and those are my favorites. They just sort of pull you in and take you over! That said, the BMNH and Boston Museum of Science have sponsored FAR better toy lines The AMNH had their Playvisions figures a while back, but they don't compare! They actually used to sell Invicta figures in their dinosaur-themed gift shop branch

So the BMNH isn't the same as Invicta?

So the BMNH isn't the same as Invicta? I think BMNH stands for British Museum of Natural History. I believe this is used for the Toyway line that came out after Walking With Dinosaurs, not the Invicta Line.

So the BMNH isn't the same as Invicta? No--Invicta had a license agreement with the British Museum of Natural History to make dino figures for them. When they ceased production (or were dropped) Toyway was brought in to make a new line of BMNH dinos (that clearly did not do well--there were supposed to be a huge number of figures made, but only a couple second-year releases ever came out--and that was several years ago).

So your saying BMHN = Invicta. Okay then Toyway made the Walking With Dinosaurs ones and the later series. There all BMNH dinosaurs just different makers and different series.

The British Museum of Natural History (BMNH) changed its name to the Natural History Museum (NHM) in 1992. The Invictas were produced during the BMNH years, the Toyways were produced during the NHM years.

I found one on eBay from a UK seller. I tried ordering from the BNHM giftshop online; they wanted FORTY QUID to mail four figures (the other three were MUCH smaller) to the US. The seller on ebay only wanted 18 to ship the same four, which is still probably an overcharge, but I'll know when it gets here.
