My collection started with the 1959 Marx playset that had the pond, cave and rock that did not join. This christmas gift and the1961 playset with the pieces joined and time tunnel box are the basis of my collection along with the nabisco prehistoric mammals of which I had 6 originally. I now hav e all 4 of the land formations and all the mammals. For some reason my Mom threw away all my baseball card from the 50's and sixties along with my comic book collection with included DC comics and the first Marvel comic. However she saved all my dinosaurs stuff. I didn't think about this again till I bought the set of Royal Ontario Museum Dinosaurs at the Childrens museum in the 70's. Soon all the non painted Invicta Dinosaurs and Mammals followed by Carnegie, Bullyland Mammals and Cavemen, Battat, followed. Then I learned how to find things on the internet including the Dino-Collectors sight of Dioramas. Schleich,Playvision, Dinotales, Cog, Yowies Lost Kingdom,WWD, etc., followed. All sets seem to have something you dislike. Marx Allowsaurus, ROM Albertosaurus,Invicta Iguanodon, Carnegie Velociraptor on and on.

i had most of the Aurora model kits, but they got broken or thrown away over the years. I remeber most that I actually had the aurora store display with the mammoth, and th painted background of all the other kits. I found it in G. L. Perry's and the store clerk was nice enjoy to let my dad buy it for me. It was sometime later that my mom thoguht it took up space and asked me if it was alright if she threw it away. I had other things on my mind, and I said it was okay. What an idiot! I still don't know why I did that, but here is the display I used to have: www.tylisaari.com/prehistoricscenes/mamdisplay.html
