SAUROPODS part VIII Here are the Soooooper long necks: Kaiyodo Dinoworld Barosaurus 2004 Expo Chuanjisaurus skeleton 2009 Expo Mamenchisaurus 2004 Expo Chuanjisaurus There is, of course the lovely Safari Dinosaurs of China Mamenchisaurus, which is way too big to be included in this pic. I also have an incredible Oh-me, oh-my, Omeisaurus 1:35 resin model by Salas; will post a pic with the Mamenchi sometime. ;D

So, I picked up this curio cabinet at a yard sale for a ridiculously cheap price. Mostly I'm putting new and custom figures in there, I can rotate them out whenever I want. Cookie for whoever identifies the most! BTW, belated cookie for paleoferroequine for the robber fly identification in my "Spring" thread. I don't think it's Efferia, but I gotta double check. Yup, there's stuff on the top too. Close-ups: Top shelf 2nd shelf 3rd Bottom 2

That's a very very nice cabinet - and what's in it even nicer! I like it a lot that you display a part of your collection in such a manner that it looks great in the living room. Sometimes dinosaur figures -- and don't get me wrong, I really like to have them around -- just don't mix that well with the normal stuff... but you made it work edit: I now see it's a bedroom, haha, still a nice-looking cabinet though

The pictures don't really do the display justice - the flash highlights every little dustspeck and smudge that you normally would never see. It also washes out some of the more subtle colors on the handpainted figures. Unfortunately, without the flash the pics are blurry. Anyway, thanks for your comments! Although I see I should have cropped the first picture or at least made the bed. Looks like I left out the third tier, so here it is: And Foxil, the ornithomimids are from the Honourable Lead Boiler Suit company in UK. Their website appears to be down. They are metal figures.

I didn't realize it at the time I was assembling this collection for the curio cabinet, but looks like I've got models from Salas, Rader, Galileo, CM Studios, Tokugawa, Krentz, Kaiyodo, Rodriguez, Tamiya, Fontanini, Kabaya, Dinonikes, Schleich, Bandai, Kinto, Colorata, HLBS, Carnegie and Safari in here! As well as whoever made the figures for the 2009 and 2010 Expos. Phew, now that is variety; this must truly be the Golden Age of dino collecting!
Only Bullyland, Battat, Papo and Sega (probably a bunch of others) are not represented.

Is there no way in which you might be persuaded to sell the Leaellynasaura? *Pleads* The Leallynasaura is actually quite cheap to get on various sites-I got mine with all the others from a museum shop in Canberra for $10 ($2 each). I find it to be somewhat ordinary, with really disproportionate legs. Out of the Dinosaurs of Australia set (which also has an Allosaur, Muttaburrasaurus, Minmi, and Serendipaceratops), Minmi is probably the best one.

Tyrannosaurs: I'm still quite in love with your handpainted brown and white striped Krentz Antediluvia rex <3 Please let me know if you ever wish to part with him, to a good home ;D Who makes the allosaur in the center of the second-to-bottom shelf, between the Antediluvia allosaurus and the white Kaiyodo allo? I like it, too! As for your recent cabinet pictures... absolutely lovely Where do you find all the bases and poles for your swimming models?

Yep it's the 2004 Expo Szechuanosaurus resin figure. It's a little gem. Took me about 4 years to find it for a reasonable price, but they are out there from time to time!

Hey Sepp, some of the bases were cannibalized from Mcfarlane water dragons; some I made out of sculpey, and some are driftwood. Small ones often come with pterosaurs. For posts you can use whatever's available, thin wooden dowels for bigger pieces, spring steel pieces for smaller, long needles/pins can work too. The Colorata sets come with extra plastic ones.

The Cory is from Max Salas. As is the the longneck Omeisaurus on top, I'll post some more pix of it when I'm done. It's a beaut and very unique. Yeah, the cabinet was a great find; although I wish it was twice as big. Still I'm very happy with it, it has lights on top and bottom and looks very nice in the evening. Apart from keeping dust and cobwebs out, it also prevents grubby little fingers from both my kids and their never-ending stream of friends from unwantedly handling the precious models ;D Plus I get to change it out when I get new stuff or just get bored with the current arrangement, so always something new.

Did Angie do a pachyrhinosaurus? What is that little one by her parasaurolophus and how do I get one? It's by Tokugawa and comes with an Albertasaurus: www.ne.jp/asahi/fragi/ragi/gallery/e_wonfes_works_p01.htmlEmail him for availability. His kits are nice, although the theropod feet are attached to the bases. Also, when they're sold out, they're gone, no re-issues. I think I got the last Allosaurus.
