Glencoe kits that sat around for about 10 years before I tackled them: When I spoke to the guy who had the current liscence to these originals, he said changing the 50's mould from Camarasaurus to Apatosaurus would be waaaay too pricey to do. So I guess an Apatasaurus skeleton with a Camarasaurus skull should be called a BRONTOSAURUS!! Why not? The base says that, anyway... heh heh heh... The most retarded pose for a T Rex ever - what the hell is with the back leg twisted, and the front leg going a different direction from the head?? Is he falling down from an explosion? His raised hands make it look that way. sent from bro in Australia - meant for much younger kids - kit was in only a few large snap-together pieces. Not much work to do on them, especially with the shiny finish I didnt want to screw up. The plants are redone relics from the 70's - "World Of" kits - ones I'm looking for! it's not like I prefer skeletons - they're just what I got hold of... some type of Pachycephalosaurid replica done in Plaster... TRex touch ups and add detail not done yet... And finally - my best Dinosaur of all:

Well dino toys includes skeleton replicas of course. Love that Camarasaurus. But as sid, I also love the living one in the last picture.

Other Aviculturists! Huzzah! Brahm says hi! Quite the lovely Harris Hawk you have there para!!! Fleshanthos, you have very cute tiel too! - I have some of those tedco skeleton kits. I think they are pretty cool. My favorite of the small skeletons has to be the "Tiny perfect dinosaur" series after the dinotales skeleton figures, of course.

Thanks CCM, she is lovely, both in looks and character; very happy with her! This is an old photo (about three and a half years old), she is even more beautiful in adult plumage I like your Raven, African White-neck isn't it? Do you work with it, too? And I like the cockatiel. I have always wanted one of these. My mom has about thirty of them in a very large aviary!

beauty-o - Badum *ching* Yes Paleo, Brahm is an African White Nape, and he is about 7 years old now. He is one of the birds I work with, and he is a brilliant animal. I am sure your Harris has become a lovely bird -we have an CB adult pair at the rehab I work with. You should get some new photos of her - I am pretty sure there is an "our pets" thread, so this one does not become too off topic, and become an issue.

What a beauty-o! Thanks And I agree, let's not hi-jack another members thread. I'll take some new photos of her and put them in pet's thread and tell a little more about her if anybody wants to know.

This Lutino Cockie was one hell of a find - less expensive than most commercial Pet Stores - and I made sure to get one without a bald patch behind the crest - a common problem in Lutinos. He was 7 weeks old when I got him, and had been hand raised. He's gentle as hell; I've had another female that was alot more agressive. My GF taught him how to talk since she could reach a very high pitch with her voice that was impossible for me.
He does a zipper, a car alarm, a door squeak, and his earliest vocalization was a stormtrooper scream as he died in a video game - then he got R2D2 warble, then laughing, then phrases from my GF. "Hello birdy birdy" "Hi" and finally "whatryadoing? eh?"
hasn't mastered "quack quack I'm a duck" yet.
they're the perfect balance between mess/attention/intelligence (on a par with my mother's STUPID nutszu).
And I agree - we should make a topic "Pix of your live Dinosaurs"
amazing what you guys are into!!!!

As Fleshantos suggested; I took the liberty of starting a new thread about our "Live" Dinosaurs and starting things out with brand-new pics of my Harris Hawk. Feel free to post pics and tell about your dinos there! dinotoyforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=members&thread=1812How cool that your tiel makes star wars sounds! I have always wanted a cocktatiel, but unfortunately my asthma prevents animals like that living in the house... Lucky for me Chinook is happier outside

Any1 else have model kit dinosaurs they made? It's just that I think Taimiya makes the only acceptable model dinos now, (aside from the much more expensive vynil/soft ones...) the Aurora ones are waaay too dated. From like the 60's.
