I finally got the right combination of time off, cloudy sky and no rain to do a big group shot of the recent Schleich lines. Not shown in my pictures are the earlier Mini and Classic series. I had to do these shots outside to get enough light but cloudy so the contrast wasn't too high. The images are linked to a larger version on my Flickr account. The complete to date Replica Saurus line with Hans: another view: The complete Junior series - now discontinued: Both groups together with Hans: I finally get the shot taken, and in less than 3 months there will be 3 more so I will have to try all over again Collecting toys is hard work

Very nice!
I only have the Brachiosaurus from the Junior Line. But I like the Replica Saurus line better, I have the Parasaurolophus and the Stegosaurus. The Brachiosaurus is also very high on my wishlist, both the old and new version. Too bad, they're so expensive...
That Shonisaurus is huge!

Yes you get a good idea how big they are relative to each other and to a man this way. I wouldn't bother with the first Brachiosaurus. The second is far better and the head of the first is very bad I think. Not worth paying collector prices for unless you just must have all of them. Far better to try for a Shonisaurus if you are collecting only some of the retired ones, it is beautiful.

I must say I love very much the old brachio, perhaps because he is very different from the brachios from other companies. Love is still a mistery If one day your elasmo find a brother, he will be always welcome in france ;D.

WOW, its' really nice to see them all together, makes a big difference, right? LOL ;D You are like me, waiting for cloudy skies to go out and photograph your collection ;D It's the best condition to take photos I love it, you use white background and I use black ;D For some reason I thought the Schleich line was bigger, hmmm I think I have most of the figures now that I look at your collection VEry nice and thanks for sharing ;D Yah, by the end of the year you will have to do it all over again when the trio comes out ;D

Really beautiful. They flip back and forth with the Bullylands as my very favorite line. I'm about ten short of this complete collection. Like others, I'm surprised at the MASSIVE size of the Shoni. But also at the teeny Desmato and Saouropelta and Plateosaurus... And d**n that's a big Quetz. What did you use for the background? Oh, and by the way, don't show Dan. He hates these...

Wowsah!! Those are absolutely flawless shots! Good job,Tiermann! ;D I didn't realize how big their Deinosuchus was. I know he's in front of the Shoni, but he looks like he rivals it's size! He looks to be about the same length and size as the Krono. Really great to see all these together for size comparisons!! Thanks for taking the time and doing this for us!

Nice pics! I love my Jr. Anhanguera (really, Ornithocheirus), but I just don't find that much to like about this line. Lots of common dinosaus, lots of scale variation, and no obscure Triassic reptiles like the other German dino company I'm a little biased against 1:30 scale, though, as it's just too big for me to own more than a handful of pieces for.

Nice pics. Have you just converted me? I think you might have. Might just be the stunning photos though. THe figures are really not bad, but that is all depending on taste, right? ;D I personally like the line but not crazy with ALL the T-rex sculpts ;D Like all collection, it really is different when you look at them all together as a set instead of mixed with various figures, it brings out the unique quality of the entire collection ;D Quick, go get more Schleich! ;D ;D ;D

Got the shoni, para, and soon will have the toro, brach, and salta. I like the desmato (who's got an extra?) euplo, plateo, stego, elasmo, and the new ones. Still don't like the therapods though. That'll take a while.

The "eoplacephalos" is billed by them as a saichania....though we all know better. It is retired now, I believe, though still common. It is beibng replaced this fall by a new saichania sculpt, which is in a less dynamic pose, but closer to the real beastie.

Thanks for the nice comments on the pictures. It's all the magic of photoshop. Here's an unedited version so you can see how it's done. I used blank newsprint off a roll for the base and then painted out the seams and upper background variation. Some of the poses are pretty interesting. The first version Allosaurus always reminds me of this collector card from 1924. Most of these guys spend their time piled in storage boxes. I need to find a way to get enough shelving to have them all out. Space is always an issue as I'm sure you are all aware.

So that's why the allosaurus died out.......... Nice pics! I love my Jr. Anhanguera (really, Ornithocheirus), but I just don't find that much to like about this line. Lots of common dinosaus, lots of scale variation, and no obscure Triassic reptiles like the other German dino company No obscure triassic reptiles? Try out their desmatosuchus, plateosaurus, and shonisaurus on for size........ And yeah, the marine reps (esp. Shoni) and that quetzalcoatlus are MASSIVE. The shoni couldn't even fit on my marine reptile shelf by itself...
