Hi, my name is Jason, I'm from Northern Fl. I'm a snake collector, I started collecting snakes nearly 3 years ago and ever since then I've been in obsessed with them. lol I own 18 snakes: 12 Ball Pythons, 2 Super Dwarf Reticulated Pythons, 1 Columbian Boa BCI, 1 Honduran Milksnake, 1 Corn snake, 1 Blood Python.
I decided to join this forum to reconnect with my inner dinosaur fan-self. I've been hooked on dinosaurs for as long as I can remember, and the movie Jurassic Park took it from fascination to utter infatuation.lol I use to have a massive collection of J.P. Toys that I accumulated over the years, but sadly they were destroyed in a fire many years ago. Now I am hoping to re-establish my collection, and continue where I left off.

Welcome! I think you'll find a lot of JP fans, and a bunch of other fun lines of dinosaurs. A lot of JP folks seem to really like the Papo dinosaurs, you might check those out. As a fellow (former) Floridan - keep close tabs on those snakes of yours! There are too many of their friends hanging out in our swamps

Thanks, Very cool, I am really looking forward to seeing everyone's collections and finding out where all the cool stuff is at now. ;D I'm a big fan of Papo Dinosaurs too, I can't wait to get them.
lol, Yeah, actually the burmese in the everglades escaped from a Pet Store during a hurricane. The media has been hyping it up way more than what it really is...as always.

Welcome Dragoneye! I'm sure you'll love the forum. And I only have one snake (a corn snake), but I'm looking to get a ball python at some point.

Welcome! I keep reptiles as well. I've kept several snakes, and have breed breed Garters. I currently keep lizards, fish and amphibians. My favorite of these would have to be my Bearded Dragons. There personalities are extraordinarily varied and interesting.

And to think I was nervous about being the only reptile keeper. lol ;D
Bearded Dragons are cool, I use to have one myself. But I graduated more towards snakes over time.

Do watch out for Pango. He is rather unpredictable. In fact, he jumped off a cliff and lived.

That's very nice. You remind me of a French film I watched once about people who were able to jump from buildings unharmed. Mhm, isn't it nice? I love how the i and o on the keyboard are so conveniently close together, and yet, I still feel the need to call you Pangio anyway.

Hey thats cool you like snakes. We have all those species and more where I work. I give you credit for having a blood. All the blood pythons we have are really nasty and unpredictable.
Personally I have a few herp pets in my home as well. Lizards and snakes are very cool but my true passion in that field is with Salamanders and Newts. Its a bit frustrating since they also happen to be super rare in the pet trade. Whenever I go to reptile shows I'm lucky if one table out of the whole place has them.

Thanks, Actually my blood is rather tame (guess I got lucky). But yeah, in my research prior to getting a blood I heard alot about their temperment, its mostly due to the fact that they are so picky about temps, humidity, etc. if your husbandry is perfect and you work with them, they tame down very nicely. That is awesome that you work with herps and amphibians as well. What kind of Salamanders do you have?

Yeah we keep the bloods in a really humid environment cuz from what I know they live on the forest floor of rainforests in Southeast Asia. Its just that since they have such short muscular bodies, when they decide to strike, its impossible to get a hold on them unlike with other species. At my workplace we have fire salamanders. However in my personal collection I started out with a California newt and from there bought myself a beautiful Barred Tiger Salamander from a show in PA and about a year later got a pair of Hong Kong newts. Just a month ago I got my latest, an unusual Black-faced Emperor Newt.
