Here is something I've been slowly working on over the last few months, a scene involving some Tyrannosaurs and a dead Triceratops : www.ghostofzeon.com/wip/dinosaurs/trex/wip.htmlSo far, I've nearly prepared all three Dinosaurs for painting which involved a ton of filling, reproducing skin textures and modifying the Triceratops to look 'dead'. Thoughts and suggestions are more than welcome so let me know what you think so far.

Looks exciting!! Nice work on the Triceratops, to make it look dead.
Can't wait to see it finished!

Very cool. I sell a similarly-conceived piece in my store. Not sure if it has the visible Trike wounds though, so that's a nice bonus.

Of couse, being able to do that yourself, and be creatively fulfilled is a pretty nice bonus, as opposed to just buying something like that. I am glad you are choping open that Tamiya pretender trike. They took it, a rex and a stego from old kits like arora or something, may have been Lindberg. Any way, they took these old kits and repackaged them as Tamiya kits with the same packaging style as the diorama kits. VERY tricky. Almost got that old stego before I realized the deal. So, I guess the're like the movie Gremlins. Not a Spielberg film per se, just packagd and presented as one....Spielberg presents I think they called it. So, I guess this is Tamiya presents, a Lindberg model.. ;D

Oh, and I like what you have done so far. Very creative. I can't do that sort of surgery here, and I always admire the abilities of those who can, Good work.

You are definitely not allowed to make posts like this, this is called spam, you already have a thread in the Classifieds section. You seem to want to advertise everywhere, please stop it.

Making it into a carcass is for fitting for that kit! ;D

Yup, and the rex and stego are just as bad. It is strange. Four of the diorama kits have bases that fit together and form one large scene--a cretaceous one. The one that doesn't fit the bases is the brachio. And since it is Jurassic, I always wondered if they were planning on a second set of four? A jurassic scene. The brachio, and three others. A stego and an allo come immediately to mind, so I was all excited to see the stego box, and almost fell into that trap. The box is just sooo ...small, and the price was so low, I came home and looked it up first. Glad I did. Still, I have to wonder if there were other diorama kits planned, and if so, why was the plug pulled?

Update - The main colours of the Rex has been painted and it's looking very 'crocodillian' at the moment. I have also experimented with drawing on veins so I am interested in how they look, so please let me know what you think. Link : www.ghostofzeon.com/wip/dinosaurs/trex/wip.html#update2
