How does it look with a brighter light on it? What are you talking about? It's too bright.

It's a tribute to Tomhet. This is the same Kinto scheme I had earlier. I put a brackish wash on, but somehow, it went on REALLY even. When it was dried, I thought it looked so nice, I did not drybrush any other color onto it. I repainted the eyes and teeth, but even the claws were left alone. It is photoed outside, so that is the brightest light around, but i have the camera's ISO setting at -2. I don't know what that is, but it seems to make better pics. Now, even when i auto contrast, i get good pics....
As an interesting aside, the reason for the washes ant new paint on this, the rex, the yanchuano and Carnie barry--yet to be posted--is I was watching a 2 hour program on Nat Geo about the Sarcosuchus, and it was mostly filler with lots of croc footage, and I started really noticing the various colors, mottling, and odd looking mottling in the mouths, and I have personally decided my theropods generally need to look more like that. This is why the rexes mouth had all of those mottled colors, and the allo's is just the dark wash. The crocs in the program had mouth interiors that varied a lot, from a pale white, to pale pink to vark. And there appeared to be a lot of dark spotting, almost like fungus growing. and I thought it would be interesting to have that feel in the theropod mouths, since most are sculpted in a wide open gaping position....
So, do we likey?

Thanks pango. I was wrong anyway, the ISO is now set to auto, and now I can take indoor pics with flash and no blur. I have the EV set to -2. I think the newer pics look better. Here are some flash pics of the allo and rex:

I'm glad you accepted my advise, the allo does look interesting.

Nice paint job on the Paratypothorax(I know this thread is about Allo, but I couldn't help noticing).

I likey very much! I like the colors you chose and especially the blending you did on the mouth and crests! Awesome!! I don't know why, but I keep wanting to see a dark thin line along the side of the whole thing that separates the top grey-blue and the bottom lighter greyish color. Not a solid real black line, but a lightly dry-brushed charcoally thin line. Something like this... I don't know, what do you think?

Oh, I forgot to ask you about the size comparisons between the Kinto and the newer WS figures. From the ones in your pics, they look like they could be compatible, yes?
The Allo looks pretty good next to the WS Stego and I bet the Rex might work with the WS Trike. Don't have any Kintos to compare. What do you think??
