So, I have been able to take some better indoor pics of some of the figures. I have also repainted many. I still have trouble with the flash washing out some shelves, so I may have to lug some outside to do it. It's just that the flash really brings out some of the "hidden" coloration: The shelf with mammals and theropods. Most of the mammals are now painted: Some of the newer theropod paints: Sauropods, mainly. Most are undergoing a repaint to be more drab and naturalistc, and while they may look very similar, the flash shows what I was going for: The desktop and shelf. Constantly changing, as I just can't stop moving the buggars around. The top is mostly aquatic stuff now, with armored on the shelf. : Loading all the pics would take up too much space, and some are a bit redundant. I tried for some close ups and such. The complete photo set is here: s249.photobucket.com/albums/gg210/tetonbabydoll/COLLECTION%20UPDATES%20AUGUST%202009/

The carnegie spinosaurus doesn't like being so close to the mammals ;D Nice papo spino.

Finished the Horizon Elasmosaurus model, and added it to the collection. Close up pics of it are in the customs thread, as usual.:

It is nice. I am curious to see what Carnegie does with theirs.

Just, "nice"? Not great, not totally worth having, just.... Nice?
I'm just curious, as I think I almost want one, but the $20 shipping ($14 figure, $6 shipping) is making me think twice.

It is just about the same size and shape as the invicta one, but with an open mouth, and more skin texture, wrinkle wise. It is worth having, yes. I got it from DinoO, and did not pay 20 for it. I can't really say it is a must have or not, as we all value the figures differently.I like it a lot, but don't know enough to comment on it's accuracy. Like I said, it is very close to the invicta one, to my eyes anyway. I could ask the same thing about the Bully elasmo, I do not have it yet, but am curious. What makes it stand out from any of the elasmos I already have?
Is the icthyo retired? If not, perhaps waiting to see the Carnegie one, and get it? Unless you are looking to complete the bully marine collection? Cause, icthyos pretty much all look the same. Like I said, it is nice.

I think it looks much better in person than the official pics.

Well, in that case, then yea, CT, you really ought to snag it. It is getting tougher to find, and is really nice. I assumed you had the invicta. If not, def go for the Bully. And, if the opportunity arises, get the invicta too.

Really depends on whay you like. I personally like the Bully Ichtyo, its a nice dynamic figure. I love the pose of it. It may be retired soon, so go after it if you are interested in one before it really skyrocket in price ;D For me, it's worth adding to any collection! The figure has two version, a solid grey one and a green one, both nice.

Well, if boki AND tomhet thinks it is nice, then I must have one. Well, I guess you must like Bullyland, it's beautiful but it's not very detailed

I think it is probably tough to detail an icthyo, as there is not much there. Teeth and eyes, mainly. I bet Carnegie does the same as they did with the Tylo as far as skin texture, but at this scale, the animal would appear to be basically smooth. The invicta icthyo is totally smooth.

I agree, but even so the Bullys are more often than not a little bit rougher than other companies. It's not a bad thing, I love my Ichthyo, but I'm not sure CT will like it too I guess it would best if he saw more pics, I'll check my hard drive to see if I find any. The only available right now is the green one by the way

I can post a couple of mine. It will just take a sec to pop out back. What one front side, and one back side? Maybe a toppish? Edit: There is actually already a thread in customs for this toy, so i will just post the link to that: dinotoyforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=custom&action=display&thread=1948And, yea. The Bullies are nice, but a little less defined or soft on the details. Their stego and apato are both awesome, but lack that little bit of extra sharpness and refinement that the newer Carnegies and WS have.

Anybody have pics of the black one? If I were to hunt one down, I think it'd be the black version. I don't have anything against the regular one, but.. The black one is so much neater, as far as I can tell...

Kevin did nothing...TETON apparently put a hit out on him, as Bob was just merrily going along, then POOF! Never to be heard from again....or so he would have us all believe. I think that guy is just laying low.......
