What do I think?! That thing's been eating a lot of awesome sauce.... I want one. Too bad it's like, $40 bucks. And it's soo tiny.

It is indeed smallish, at 1:72 it's a little longer than the Safari Sue Rex with the mouth closed. But man, it puts to shame many of my theropods.

Oh, it's 1:72. I was going to say... "This is from Krentz?" LoL.
Very good, then. I didn't know we could do reviews for kits?

You can do reviews for basically anything dinosaur, I think.

Yup ^^^ I mean, as long as it's a figure

Oh. So what constitutes a figure? I think I submitted several reviews that might have pushed the definition, so now I'm wondering if I did all that writing for nothing. LoL.

Well, a more or less realistic representation in any kind of material. I don't see what's wrong about what you submitted.
I wanted to narrow down CT's definition, since 'all things dinosaur' is a little too vague.

Ah, that's a relief.
So did where did you acquire this piece? Whenever I ask someone where they got a Krentz model, they get this distant look in their eyes, and mutter something about "long ago".

I thought it was defunct, though? If that's where you bought it, apparently I'm mistaken.
His DVDs look very tempting.

Thanks, I'll try that, then. His Einiosaurus looks positively stellar.

This is surely one of the best Tyrannosaurus models out there - the hands are facing palm-in, the pose is natural and fluid, and the poor guy has his mouth (mostly) closed, as he surely had to do sometimes. I think it looks a little on the thin side, but that's a matter of personal taste. A model to inspire some serious jealousy!

I like how its expressing that rolling gate too. To me, that's how a T. Rex should look.

You know, I was just thinking that. The lean musculature and all looked familiar to me, so I looked up the Sideshow Rex. Sure enough, Krentz worked on it. Very strong similarity.

Thanks for the kind words As bucketfoot pointed out, the Sideshow Styracosaurus is evidently the work of David Krentz. I sure wish he produced more Antediluvia figures, but first I have to buy the super awesome sauropods. I have almost finished painting the Chalicotherium, will post pics later, for those familiar with the DinoTales figures, it's even smaller than any of those My eyeballs hurt after I added the eyes A toy line designed by him would probably rock too
