Yeah, the Styrac I already knew about. The triumphant pose is a dead ringer for his Einiosaurus.
Toys would be good, but it's hard to say how good, exactly. Sometimes the manufacturing process diminishes the details of the original (see 2009 Carnegie Spinosaurus, lol).

Well, the WS line and Papo hold lots of detail, I guess it wouldn't be so difficult, a tight quality control is probably what is needed.

That's true. If they can just maintain that level of quality, then a "Krentz Presentz" line from Safari would rock.

Well, a more or less realistic representation in any kind of material. I don't see what's wrong about what you submitted. I wanted to narrow down CT's definition, since 'all things dinosaur' is a little too vague. Well, let's say a new set of awesome dinosaur party-gear is released--- I wouldn't be able to make a short blog entry on it, maybe just advertising it to parents/dinocollectors who have little dinolovers in their homes?? But as long it is a figure and it's prehistoric, and it hasn't been reviewed before, it can be posted as a new blog...

I think all davy krentz did on the sideshow piece was paint it, so they could have a paleoartist's name attached....

Nah, I suspect that's why they hired my hero Steve Riojas, as far as I know, Krentz doesn't paint.

Riojas worked on the Carnotaurus and Deinosuchus statues. In what capacity, I'm not certain. That reminds me though, I've been meaning to ask them.

Wow, Tomhet! I'd forgotten what a great painter you are. Really nice job, man! Very original!! Really liking the camouflage-like muted shades. Nice blending! But, I am missing seeing a highlight in the eyes.HaHaHa! ;D

Jaw dropping Tomhet. The excellent work on this small figure makes me wonder what you could do with a larger scale piece. The sculpture itself blows most companies away. EDIT: By the way, the Chalico looks very exotic. You don't see many illustrations of these sporting a colorful backside. Is that red striped over by purple?

Possibly a certain Gorgosaurus model by Krentz?

;D Looks more like siennas and rust CT..... You are right about the rust, but that sienna tone was produced by diluted white, I'll probably add more white

Hm. Could have sworn there were faint pink stripes on the chalico's back... Must just be an effect of the lighting or my eyes or something.

Under the rust colored back it looks like you achieved a bruise blue effect. Do I see brown in there as well? Beautiful.
