Theropod Family Tree

Alright, here's a little something I did with my free time lately. I remember a while back someone (Libraraptor, thanks for the idea!) proposed a family tree of dinosaurs made up of figures, so since no one had made one I decided to tackle all of the theropods. First some overview shots of it:

Alright, let's go group by group. For each group I listed which genera I have on the tree, and which genera there are figures of but I do not have in my collection:

The basal guys, the most primitive Neotheropoda.
Genera Represented: Coelophysis (PV), Liliensternus (Bullyland), Dilophosaurus (Carnegie)
Genera Not Represented: Cryolophosaurus (Procon, Carnegie)


Ceratosaurids
Genera Represented: Battat Ceratosaurus, Carnegie Deltadromeus, Carnegie Carnotaurus
Genera Not Represented: Rugops (Procon)



Tetanurae/Spinosauroidea
Genera Represented: Megalosaurus (Invicta), Baryonyx (Carnegie), Suchomimus (Chap Mei), Spinosaurus (Carnegie)
Genera Not Represented: Eustreptospondylus (Procon)




Carnosauria
Genera Represented: Siamotyrannus (Kaiyodo), Sinraptor (Carnegie), Yangchuanosaurus (DOC), Allosaurus (Papo), Acrocanthosaurus (Battat), Giganotosaurus (Carnegie)

Genera Represented: Gallimimus (Battat), Struthiomimus (Marx)

Nothing at all


Oviraptorosauria
Genera Represented: Caudipteryx (Carnegie), Gigantoraptor (Procon), Oviraptor (Kabaya)


Dromaeosauridae:
Genera Represented: Microraptor (Carnegie), Utahraptor (WWD), Velociraptor (Carnegie)
Genera Not Represented: Deinonychus (Carnegie, I honestly just forgot to add this one)


Avilae! Birds
Genera Represented: Archaeopteryx (Kaiyodo)

Enjoy! Any comments/criticisms etc would be appreciated. Also, please don't criticize it if you don't agree with the phylogenics, I took some artistic liberties and simplified the whole thing a lot. It was more for fun than anything.

I think safari/carnegie has a theropod for every big "branch"....

Except for the Alvarezsaurids...

But you're right Cordy, pretty much everything is represented (except for maybe the coelophysids).

Of course-- But nobody else has made them either, so I didn't mention that.

I just use diloph as a ceolophysoid, that way I can say I have a little of everything.... ;D


Actually the little toob baryonyx could stand in for a juvenile 1/40th ceolophysis...

Wow really cool idea. Honestly I did not know Carnotaurus was actually a ceratosaur though. It has the head gear and the number of fingers but I still always thought it was some odd branch elswhere.

Thanks again guys, especially Libra for the idea (I knew someone here mentioned it). Also, Cordy, you're right, but I've never thought of the Bary that way, it may kinda work haha.
