That blue one with the feathers is pretty interesting. It is indeed a Diatryma, all those figures came with a stickerbook a long time ago, and was a real chase to get them. I think i still don't have them all. Is that little all-brown one with a base (most obvious in the 6th picture down) a Jurassic Park toy that came in an egg with some sweets? I think I used to have a Dilophosaurus from the same range. Yes that is correct ;D. The eggs are still somewhere where i hid them. LOL . And with eastern i will search for them Teehee! Just kidding. I put the eggs somewhere but dont know where they are. The nrack and the T-rex is from the Jurassicpark candyegg. Uhm, those kangaroo - dinosaur - things, usually called Moropus and noone knows why, in the fifth picture have fun, yes? Griffin: That one is a Diatryma. We have a thread about Diatrymas somewhere, where it´s described more closely. Hahaha yes i had some fun indeed. . I hoped i will get a mini moropus over a couple of months hahaha Cute little ones ;D Ah, so you are one of the few who has not had the pleasure of meeting my sauropod herd ;D Dig in far enough, you will see a thread for them ;D I will search for it i am very curious. And yesterday my new collection arrived. Invicta iguanodon Invicta diplodocus Invicta Liopleurodon Invicta Ichtyosaurus Invicta Tyrannosaurus Rex Invicta muttaburasaurus All of the invicta's i have After this full shot i realised i missed one i already had. I felt guilty so i made another session . Invicta glyptodon

Ah yes, Invicta Muttaburrasaurus...a fine figure, often overlooked but very much ahead of its time...
Also, the tail on your Diplodocus looks a little different to mine, which is odd. I'd take photos of it, but we're currently separated by a 4 hour train ride, alas. It looks less snakey generally. EDIT: Actually, this might just be the result of me focussing too much on one picture...

I wish dinosaur figures and replica's would be more in numbers in the shops over here. Well it could be the Diplo's tail is a little different. The box was a little smaller then the Diplo. So it might be a little different. I would love to have a troodon from invicta. Only i have to find it first. And although it isn't a complete true dinosaur. I also hope there will be a figure from what they say the troodon would have looked like when it evolved. Altough it is fiction, i just love the model.

Yeah, that is a figure I would also love to own, the "dinosauroid".
But that was never ever made by any company, right?

No it is never made by any company, and it is a shame they didn't. Í could say lets mail to papo or safari. But they will not create a figure i think.

Seems rather too humanoid to me. I don't think theropods would have evolved in such a way. In fact, the ones that survived the K-T extinction didn't!

Yep. Always seemed too anthropoid to me too, same as a lot of aliens from sci-fi movies, this design just doesn't seem right, the arms for example -why so long?-. The guy was forced to look too humanoid for dramatic reasons. Still it's awesome imo. I remember reading a tale about dino-sapiens living in a Victorian London who built a time machine made with a bicycle. (I think they have evolved from deynonichus, but not sure though. I can't remember the author of the tale, either...). The guys had FEATHERS and still jaws. But wear clothes and hats and smoked on pipes. Well, a paleontologist came back to the cretaceous and found a thing of those where several lines of reality joined... you know... so there were a lot of time travelers from different realities: humans, cockroache-sapiens, squirrel-sapiens, fish-sapiens, and so. That was fun.

There was a documentary about it too don't know the name of it. It showed a human dinosauroid society. Was a great documentary ;D By the way what movie was it from the picture Horridus?

It's not a movie, it's an animatronic at Blackgang Chine - www.blackgangchine.com. He's an Allosaurus named Darwin who invites you in 'for dinner'. A friend of mine calls him the 'paedophile dinosaur' due to his rather sinister voice. Shame the animatronics are so worn out now!

The fact that hes wearing a smoking jacket doesn't really help his case in the creepyness department either.

Was a great documentary ;D Dunno, Troodon original arms weren't that long or that musculated either. Hominid long and strong arms origin was actual long and strong arms of arboreal creatures... Anyway, if you can remember more dates about that documentary, I would love to watch it. The tale I was talking about was "DINOSAUR ON A BICYCLE" written by TIM SULLIVAN. EDIT: OH! And we can't forget the Jim Henson's civilized dinos NOT THE MAMA!!! ;D

Hang on, I remember that documentary too...as I've said though, it's bullhickey (what a term!) - humans are a bit of a fluke in evolutionary terms, and certainly modern birds don't seem to be in a hurry to emulate us.
And the less said about Jim Henson's Dinosaurs, the better. I remember when it was lamthingyed in the Simpsons (for plagiarising the Simpsons). "Don't have a Stegosaurus man..."
I said L A M P O O N E D. Word filter is stupid.

I remember a Simpsons episode where they were drawn like the Dinosaurs, was absolutely funny. Yeah, a complete rip-off. Of the Flinstones, too.
