Do you realize that if you were to take that lettuce And dry it and roll it and smoke it-
I know it tastes like goat ****!
You smoke your lettuce?
Believe me I've tried!
You're going to end up with similar problems Then if you were smoking tobacco
I know for sure You should try it with tomato- Burnin salad in my throat!
Steve Buyer, warning complacent americans about the risks of smoking lettuce?
You can warn me all you want, but you'll never stop my leafy green fetish!

Just ordered a limited edition score to Something Wicked this way comes, and the unedited score to Wrath of Khan, both James Horner scores. Bob is doing a happy dance. Teton just sits dejectedly in hi corner, as he is just newbie Bob again....poor deleted Teton. But Bob rules!!!

Hell yeah! Yesterday my father bought the new Manowar EP, "Thunder in the Sky"... It RULES!!! Kickass and epic songs, as usual considering we're talking about the Four Metal Kings (and, yes, my father listens to Heavy Metal too ;D)

Hey, is there anybody else here who collects or listen to film scores just for fun? Other than the JP scores I mean? I just picked up two James Horner albums this week that i think are really cool. The extended, complete scor to wrath of Khan, and a new release of the score to Something Wicked This Way Comes. I personally am VERY excited....

Oh yeah, most of my cd-collection consists of movie scores and soundtracks. James Horner is one of my favorites. Ever since I saw "Willow", I have been a fan of his work. John Williams is an obvious choice for a Star Wars fan. Another favorite is Howard Shore. His score for the Lord of the Rings Trilogy is out of this world. I bought all three Complete Recordings a while back, cost me a small fortune, but so worth it. Maybe the best score ever composed. Harry Gregson-Williams' work for "Kingdom of Heaven" and "Chronicles of Narnia" is also excellent. Lawrence Shragge is another personal favorite. He did the score for the ESPN film "Ruffian", which I loved. Excellent score. After an unsuccesful search for that score online, I contacted him through his website to ask if and where it was available. He replied that it wasn't available and probably never would be. But he offered to send me a cd of it anyway, free of charge! And he even added a personal, autographed note. Top man!

Whatever happened to the music thread? Bim balla bim, I resurrect thee!
For some reason, I think this would make a nice soundtrack for the Jurassic Period.

Wow, that is great. Who's the composer? Rob Dougan. He also did some of the Matrix movie tracks actually.

Ah hah. I normally only think of Don Davis for The Matrix. I'm so glad they gave him JP3.

After Ronnie Dio passed away about 2 weeks ago - what a wonderful Rock vocalist he was with Rainbow in the 70s - I sadly read that Mick Karn also has recently been diagnosed with advanced stages of cancer. I've been an admirer of his bass playing since the early days with Japan. I'll press both thumbs that he can stand the treatments and that he'll have the chance to recover!!!

Anything by Ryan Adams and the Cardinals or Ryan by himself - except for the Werewolph stuff - I really think he's kidding around. Josh Rouse is another favorite, especially the older stuff like Nashville.

I like alternative stuff like this (not sure if I've linked these before) :
and this by the same band:
