Hey, whatever floats my boat, right? I never claimed to be normal......
I like other music too, I just don't do specific bands as a whole.
Except maybe for phil Collins/Genesis. But, when I paint, or draw, or want to relax, it is soundtracks all the way....

You might be surprised. There is a large market for them, and "collecting" as they are sometimes rare and hard to find. As with our hobby, there are more devoted to it than you might guess...

For my B-day i received the "Indiana Jones Complete Soundtrack Collection"...5 CDs full of John Williams' goodness ;D Oh,and the other day i bought the last Saxon CD,"Into the Labyrinth"...I've yet to listen to it (i think i'll do that tomorrow),but from the samples i've heard here and there,it sure sounds good Afterall...Saxon = Heavy Metal Legend,so i should not be disappointed

I was listening to Tool, the Lateralis (I think that's what it's called) CD on my way into work this morning. Is a good cd, I'm gonna get their latest soon, but first I want to get Filters' latest.

^^^ It's called Lateralus *sigh* I'm a big Tool fan, everything before 10,000 Days I like, it's just that, with the exception of two songs, the latest is no good IMHO. Aenima and Lateralus are two of my favorite albums ever, so it was quite a letdown

Where didja find it, and how much?? MMMM John Williams rules... Here i am,to answer your question So...My parents find it here in Genoa,at a FNAC store (one of those bigass shops owned by a french company full of technologic gizmos and such...I think in the US there would be something like that ),and the box costs 41 EU...Money WELL spent for me,because,as a complete collection of ALL the soundtracks of the Indy saga it absolutely RULES...There is even a fifth cd with songs not included in the first four platters (like "Father's study" from "Last Crusade",a really atmospheric tune)

Two of my favorite all time records are soundtracks- one is the soundtrack to the film 'Superfly' -Curtis Mayfield, the other is the soundtrack to the film 'Dance Craze' featuring all of the great British Two Tone ska bands- Specials, Beat, Madness, Selector,etc.- the live versions of the great songs by these bands are very cool and bring me back to the days when I saw most of them live in concert-

I like all types of music really- the only thing I don't listen to recorded but can appreciate seeing it live are opera and polka. I have to have music going while I sculpt or paint or create in any way really-
some of the things I have been listening to lately in no particular order-
Jimi Hendrix - Bootleg of a concert from '68 Talking Heads- Bootleg of a concert from Chicago in '78 that I attended Leadbelly Anthology Collection Patsy Cline- Greatest Hits Miles Davis- In a Silent Way Frank Zappa- Hot Rats Cat Stevens- Tea For the Tillerman Prince- Controversy Mahavishnu Orchestra- Inner Mounting Flame Bluegrass Collection-Mountain Music Vol. 1 Fergie- Starring as the Duchess Depeche Mode- Construction Time Elvis Costello and the Attractions- Get Happy! (if you've never heard this record -you should)
I have over a thousand or more vinyl records still- and many many cassette tapes, not a whole lot of CDs - just buy new stuff on CDs, those are antiquated now as well- not a downloader at all, don't have an ipod or anything like that- I still prefer to slide out that 12" vinyl record, put down that needle-

Sbell, don't read any further, but I've really gotten into 80s hair bands and glam metal. My personal favorites are Dio, Dokken, Quiet Riot, Skid Row, Cinderella, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, and Great White.
